1. Select a Tread/Riser/Stringer The type of wood you choose helps drive the style and character of your entire system. A few key things to consider as your making a decision: Are you painting, staining or clear coating this system? What kind of floors do you have? What do you want to match in your home? * Note: Other wood species available upon request. Pine Mahogany Red Oak White Oak Maple Jatoba Hickory Walnut Red Oak - The sapwood of red oak is white to light brown and the heartwood is a pinkish reddish brown. The wood is mostly straight grained, with a coarse texture. White Oak - The sapwood of American white oak is light colored and the heartwood is light to dark brown. White oak is mostly straight grained with a medium to coarse texture. Genuine Mahogany - Varies from light red or pale tan to a rich dark deep red or deep golden brown, depending on country of origin. Brazilian Cherry - (aka Jatoba) Deep red, burgundy or orange tones, with a strong visible grain pattern. Maple - In most respects the wood of soft maple is very similar to that of hard maple. Generally the sapwood is greyish white, and the heartwood varies from light to dark reddish brown. The wood is usually straight grained. Hickory - The sapwood is white, tinged with brown while the heartwood is pale brown. Coarse texture with mostly straight grain. Walnut - The sapwood of walnut is creamy white, while the heartwood is light brown to dark chocolate brown, occasionally with a purplish cast and darker streaks. The wood is generally straight grained. Note: All these are examples and we cannot guarantee the exact wood grain or color, the above are all clear coated. 3 AMRON STAIR WORKS - 847-426-4800 - www.amronstairs.com

The 'stair step' representation obtained in the study is on the basis of the following Theorem. Theorem 1 If (i, j) is a corner of a stair in the represented 'stair step' form of m n computational grid matrix with 1 j n then the point (i, j) must be (odd, even). Proof A corner (i, j) of the stair in the 'stair step .

The trolley used for stair climbing is the key part to realize stable stair climbing, while length of trolley wheel extending connection rod needs further design.
