(NOON) PT SUNDAY, MAR. 27 WORKOUT 5 For time: 30-cal. row 20 burpee box jump-overs 10 snatches 135 lb, 20-in box 185 lb, 24-in box Time cap: 7 minutes NOTES Prior to starting, athletes must set up the competition area as shown in the floor plan. The rower must be positioned so the camera can record the monitor. This workout begins with the athlete seated on the rower with their hands off the paddle. After the call of “3, 2, 1 go,” the athlete will complete their row calories, then move to the box to start their 20 burpee box jump-overs, then cross over the line to the barbell to complete their 10 snatches. Snatches must be performed facing the camera and box. Time stops when the athlete has reached lockout on the final snatch. The athlete’s score will be the total time it takes to complete the workout or the total number of repetitions completed before the 7-minute time cap. There is no tiebreak for this workout. Clear the area of all extra equipment, people, or other obstructions. Any athlete who in any way alters the equipment or movements described in this document or shown in the workout standards video may be disqualified from the competition. VIDEO SUBMISSION STANDARDS Film ALL competition area measurements so the distances and weights can be seen clearly. Use the camera placement provided in the floor plan. The camera should capture a ¾ view of the athlete during all movements. Avoid placing the camera low to the ground. We recommend placing the camera at least 3 feet (90 cm) off the ground. Videos must be uncut and unedited to accurately display the performance. A clock or timer must be visible throughout the workout. Videos shot with a fisheye lens or similar lens may be rejected. The monitor on the rower must be set to zero at the beginning of the row. The athlete will start seated on the rower with their hands off the paddle until after the call of “3, 2, 1 go.” The athlete must stay seated on the rower with their hands on the paddle until the monitor reads 30 calories. BURPEE BOX JUMP-OVER The burpee box jump-over starts with the athlete perpendicular to the box while touching their chest and thighs to the ground, and finishes with the athlete jumping over the box. In the bottom position, the center of the athlete’s chest must be on the line, and the feet and hands must be straddling the line. Setting the box at an angle is not allowed. A two-foot takeoff is required, and only the athlete’s feet may touch the box. After landing on the box, the athlete may jump or step off to the other side. If the athlete lands on the box, both feet must touch the box before stepping or jumping off. Alternatively, the athlete may jump completely over the box. If jumping over the box, the feet must pass over the box, not around it, and the athlete must use a two-foot landing. There is no requirement to stand tall while on top of the box. 2022 CrossFit, LLC and CrossFit are registered trademarks, and 3,2,1.Go!, Fittest on Earth and Sport of Fitness are trademarks of CrossFit, LLC.
