FEATURES The Eastwood Elite TG2000 Cordless Tungsten Grinder head features six machined slots: - Two 1/16” slots; one angled at 10 and one at 22.5 to direct the tungsten at the preferred angle against the Diamond Grinding Wheel (FIG 1). - Two 3/32” slots; one angled at 10 and one at 22.5 to direct the tungsten at the preferred angle against the Diamond Grinding Wheel (FIG 1). - Two notches (1/16” & 3/32”) cut into the top, outside edge of the Grinding Head. These slots are designed to grip the burned end of tungsten rods for clean breakage (FIG 1). FIG. 1 FIG. 2 OPERATION Plug the Wall Charger into a properly grounded, 120VAC, 60Hz outlet and plug the USB-C charging cord end into the charging port at the rear of the Cordless Tungsten Grinder (FIG 2). Allow the battery to charge to full capacity as indicated by the three LED battery charge indicators (FIG 3) being fully illuminated. After charging, unplug the wall charger and USB-C charge plug. While holding the Eastwood Elite Cordless Tungsten Grinder securely, move the On-Off Switch (FIG 3) to the “On” position. FIG. 3 Whenever switched on, the speed setting will default to a middle setting of 3. Setting 4 is generally optimal for tungsten grinding, however this will vary upon user preference. To begin grinding, allow several seconds for the motor to reach full speed, then gently place the tungsten into the proper width slot (FIG 4). Slowly and steadily allow the tungsten to contact the face of the Diamond Grinding Wheel while rolling the tungsten to create a sharpened tip. DO NOT force the tungsten but allow the abrasive of the Diamond Grinding Wheel to do the work. When the grinding is complete, withdraw the tungsten and move the On-Off Switch to the “OFF” position. FIG. 4 FIG. 5 BREAKING OFF BURNED TIPS ON TUNGSTEN Place the burned end of the tungsten into the proper width slot and quickly move the tungsten to the side to snap it off (FIG 5). FIG. 6 FLIPPING AND REPLACING DIAMOND GRINDING WHEEL Using a 3mm Hex Key (not included), loosen the four Retaining Set-Screws (FIG 6). Remove the Grinding Head and set it aside (FIG 7). 6 FIG. 7 Eastwood Technical Assistance: 800.343.9353 tech@eastwood.com

Depress the Armature Lock Button and using a #1 Phillips screwdriver (not included), remove the Diamond Grinding Wheel Retaining Screw (FIG 8). Remove and flip the existing Diamond Grinding Wheel to reveal the fresh abrasive surface or replace with a new one. Re-install the Retaining Screw and tighten in place. Back out all four of the Retaining SetScrews so that the ends are flush with the I.D. of the Grinding Guide (FIG 9). Slip the Grinding Guide back over the Arbor Housing. Tighten all four of the Retaining SetScrews an equal amount so that the Grinding Guide opening is fully concentric with the Retaining Screw at the center of the Diamond Grinding Wheel (FIG 10). The Eastwood Tungsten Grinder is now ready for use. FIG. 8 FIG. 9 FIG. 10 To order parts and supplies: 800.343.9353 eastwood.com 7

MAINTENANCE IMPORTANT NOTE: The following maintenance should be performed before each use: Check Diamond Grinding Wheel Retaining Screw and Grinding Guide Retaining Set-Screws for tightness. Inspect Diamond Grinding Wheel for cracks, damage, or premature wear. Clean dirt and debris from motor air cooling slots. BATTERY AND CHARGING The charge status is indicated by the three LED indicators below the Speed Adjustment Paddle (FIG 3). When the tool is not receiving a charge and powered on, they will illuminate to show battery charge status: Three bars: Indicates the battery is at or near full charge. Two bars: Indicates the battery is at an intermediate charge state with a significant amount of run time left. One bar: Indicates the battery is low. Consider charging soon. One bar flashing: Battery is extremely low. Discontinue use and charge immediately. If the battery runs out of charge while switched on, the unit will turn off the motor and all LED indicators will flash rapidly five times before turning off. Switch the unit off and charge immediately. To charge the battery, plug the wall charger into a 120VAC, 60Hz outlet. Plug the USB-C charging cord end into the charging port at the rear of the Cordless Tungsten Grinder (FIG 2). The battery charge status will now be indicated by the LED battery charge indicators (FIG 3) lighting up in a sweeping pattern. As charge progresses, the bar(s) will stay lit and the remaining will continue to sweep. Once the battery is fully charged all three will remain lit. Approximate charge time from depleted to full is two hours. After charging, unplug the wall charger and USB-C charge plug. DO NOT leave the charger plugged into the unit and the wall for extended periods of time. 8 Eastwood Technical Assistance: 800.343.9353 tech@eastwood.com
