His Class of ‘77 influence, especially with our class ’77, still touches us today. His positive impact on us players and young men is still present in our lives today. Honoree Campus Influence Beyond the Game Donor Sherry Blow Marshall HS My mother was a Northside graduate (Marshall HS) and returned to her district to teach (Holmes HS/Marshall HS) and positively impacted students for over 25 years. She took me as a young child to Little Huskies where my love for education and educating began. I am now an NISD teacher (Stevenson) greatly due to her influence. Adriana Price James W. Bluhm Jay HS Mr. Bluhm has been a NISD employee since 1968 and is still going strong. Students from past and present still remember his teachings, words of knowledge and hallway reminders that class will be starting in "2 minutes". Mr. Bluhm incorporates his love of teaching into each students' success in his classroom. Mr. Bluhm is an inspiration to students and teachers alike. She impacts the lives and education of students through her leadership and positive influence on our campus leaders. She brings brightness to dark and challenging situations and she inspires with hope. When you are in Sandra’s presence, you leave wanting to do better and be better! She goes beyond the scope of her work and mentors high school students, guiding them as they work toward their goals. Sandra consistently offers her support to district events that promote social emotional learning. She leads the elementary Vice Principals, instilling in them the knowledge to use restorative discipline practices, and sees students beyond infraction, and looks at who they really are as people. In fall, 2015, she was awarded the distinction of Northside ISD KENS 5 ExCEL Teacher of the Year. Lewis Sharon Browne was consistently kind to students and staff and made every effort to de-escalate tense situations. Her leadership was quiet, steady, and effective. He started with 1 Morales elementary school serving 50 - 75 students to purchase a pair of shoes and is now serving all 7 elementary schools around Jay HS. Takes 150 students to Walmart with a 50 limit for each, which at time averages over 8000. Great influence on and off the field. Orlando Gonzales Mrs. Bueno is dedicated to the youngest Barbara Triplett of learners and is committed to helping them love learning. Even after high school I kept in touch with Lisa and she has been there for me still. I am a successful productive member of society with a Master’s Degree. My senior year, we had 525 cadets and were the largest unit in Texas. He influenced hundreds of cadets during his tenure as Commander of our unit. Many TX 782nd cadets went on to very successful military and civilian careers. The leadership skills I learned during my time as a cadet are still with me today.
