WelcomeITSITS Education Asia (ITS) welcomes you as a new learner with ourPearson BTEC Higher National Certificate (HNC)/Higher NationalDiploma (HND) in Business. You are joining one of the largest privateeducation providers in Asia. ITS offers a wide selection of educationalservices, including individual tutoring, from introductory coursesthrough to higher education. ITS is delivering the Pearson BTECHNC/HND in Business programme 100% online as a blended-learningprogramme via a VLE (virtual learning environment). As stated onITS’s website:“Online learning brings school to you, whether you live in a remotearea, have restricted school choice nearby, have mobility issues, orsimply prefer the home-schooling option but would like teachersupport.”Our BTEC programme is 100% online but not “traditional distancelearning”. With many online BTEC courses, they are online but theyare presented in a “traditional distance learning” mode. That is,learners are given the materials and the learners still have to read thematerial and work it all out for themselves. Studies show traditionaldistance learning mode is not an effective learning mode (read aFinancial Times article on this subject). The ITS BTEC HNC/HND inBusiness Programme thoroughly overcomes this shortcoming with itshigh percentage of live classes, consistent offline supervision and asupport framework. Our course is supported by real lecturers, inreal-time. Having a lecturer available makes all the difference.ITS Tutorial SchoolRegistered School No. 5669854/F, BOC Group Life Assurance Tower, 134-136 Des Voeux Rd. I define Asia broadly to include Northeast, Southeast, South, and Central Asia, United States, Russia, Australia, and New Zealand.
