The Candle or Eternal Flame islocated at the front of the sanctuary and burns for sevendays.Pastor Dunkle was Pastor Overcash’s internship supervisor.Pastor Dunkle graduatedfrom Gloucester High School, in1958, St. Joseph’s College atPhiladelphia in 1962, theLutheran Theological Seminaryat Philadelphia in 1965, andreceived his Doctorate ofMinistryfromPrincetonTheological Seminary in 1982.He has been the pastor ofmany churches through theyears; traveling from NewJersey to Michigan, back toNew Jersey.He has also served on many Synodical and Lutheran SocialMinistry boards and committees, both in NJ and MI. Mostrecently “retired” as Foundation Board Chair of LSM/NJ.Pastor Dunkle retired from Our Savior Lutheran Church,Haddonfield, on March 1st, 2005. Pastor Dunkle and his wife,Carleen, keep busy with traveling in the U.S., keeping track of their4 grandchildren, Cory, Simone, Brittany, and Zachary, andwatching the Phillies and the St. Hawks Baseball and Basketballteams! The ushers lead us to the table where we kneel (if we are able) to receive the bread. Then we drinkonce a liturgical assistant says to us, “the Blood of Christ Shed for You.” Those unable to partake of wheaten bread, GLUTENFREE COMMUNION WAFERS are now being offered. You will find small blue cubes by each of the filled wine trays. Take a cubewith you to the altar and place it on the altar rail as a signal to the one distributing the bread that you wish to receive GlutenFree Bread. We then return to our pew for prayer. Children also are invited forward to receive communion or blessing at yourpreference. Children receiving a blessing only should cross their arms across their chest.

REACH OUT AND SERVEBOSNIA UPDATE Less than 6 weeks from now, the 2014 Travel Team will be boarding a plane and flying to BosniaHerzegovina. There, we will board a bus and travel the country; visiting with communities and schools in order to promoteHealing, Hope and Peace to those we meet in our Friendship Camps. We are thankful for all that have contributed to thePrince of Peace Bosnia Pledge Progam! So far, we have collected 3,278.63 of our pledges--we have a goal of 5,000.
