The shaver must beswitched off. Charge it for at least 4 hours(special cord set and shaver might getwarm). Once the shaver is completelycharged, shave until fully discharged. Thenrecharge to full capacity again (1 hour). A full charge will give up to 40 minutes ofcordless shaving time depending on yourbeard growth. However, the maximum battery capacity will only be reached afterseveral charging/discharging cycles. Best environmental temperature range forcharging is 60 F to 95 F/15 C to 35 C. When fully discharged, you may also shavewith the shaver connected to an electricaloutlet via the special cord set.Indicator lightsThe green charging light shows that the shaveris being charged. When the rechargeable battery is fully charged, the green charging lightintermittently blinks on and off. This indicatesthat the battery maintains its full capacity.Model 5775 only:The red low-charge light glows when the batterycapacity has dropped below 20% provided theshaver is switched on. The remaining capacitywill then be sufficient for 2 to 3 shaves.6Trimmer:When the long hair trimmer is activated, itallows the controlled trimming of moustacheor sideburns.Tips for the perfect shave It can take up to 14-21 days for your beardto adjust to the new shaving system. Shave before washing your face or takinga shower, as skin tends to swell afterwashing. The dryer the skin, the closer the shavingresults will be. Hold the shaver at right angles (90 ) to theskin. Stretch your skin and shave againstthe direction of beard growth. To maintain 100% shaving performancereplace your foil and cutterblock every18 month or when worn.CleaningThe hand-held unit shall be detached from thepower supply cord before cleaning. Theshaver shall not be used until it has dried.Regular cleaning ensures better shavingperformance. Rinsing the shaving head aftereach shave under hot running water is an easyand fast way to keep it clean: Switch the shaver on (cordless) and rinsethe shaving head under hot running water.A natural based soap may also be usedprovided it contains no particles or abrasivesubstances. Rinse off all foam and let theshaver run for a few more seconds.Next, switch the shaver off and press therelease buttons. Lift the shaver foil off andpull the cutter block out. Après chaque rasage, le rinçage dela tête du rasoir à l’eau chaude du robinetassure un nettoyage facile et rapide : Mettre le rasoir sous tension (sans cordon)et rincer la tête de rasage à l’eau chaude durobinet. Un savon de source naturelle peutégalement être utilisé à condition qu’il soitexempt de particules ou de substancesabrasives. Rincer pour enlever toute lamousse et laisser le rasoir en marchependant encore quelques secondes. Mettreensuite le rasoir hors tension et appuyer surles boutons de déclenchement. Soulever lagrille du rasoir et retirer le bloc de coupe.Laisser ensuite sécher les pièces de rasagedémontées. Appliquer une goutte d’huile à machinelégère sur la tondeuse pour poils longs et lagrille du rasoir.Le rasoir peut aussi être nettoyé à l’aide de labrosse fournie : Mettre le rasoir hors tension.
