ADMISSION OF STUDENTS TO AFFILIATED COLLEGESORDINANCES1. A student applying for admission to an affiliated college shall bringwith him/her a certificate as to his/her conduct signed by the Head ofthe Institution in which he/she was studying during the year previousto his joining the college.Provided that the student, who has passed the qualifyingexamination as a private student shall furnish evidence of goodconduct duly signed by the Principal of the college lastattended/gazetted officer.2. No candidate, who wishes to enter in a course of study prescribedfor a degree of the University, shall be admitted to an affiliatedcollege unless he has:(i) Passed the Intermediate Examination of the board of High schooland Intermediate Education, Uttar Pradesh or of an Indian Universityincorporated by any law in force at the time of admission.or(ii) Passed any other examination recognized by the University asequivalent thereto. (List of approved Boards enclosed at Schedule I)Any graduate (Three year Degree Course) of the University of anIndian University recognised for the purpose by the ExecutiveCouncil may be admitted to an affiliated college in the classes forpostgraduate degree in the University in the subject offered at theIIIrd year at the graduation examination.3.(A) A student shall be recognized as a member of the college onlywhen his/her application form for admission has been accepted by thePrincipal, when he/she has paid the prescribed fees and has submittedall the necessary documents such as transfer certificate, migrationcertificate, etc. as desired by the Principal of the college. If for certainreasons, a student is unable to submit certain certificates at the time ofadmission, the Principal may admit him/her provisionally subject tothe condition that his/ her admission will be confirmed only

when he/she has submitted all the necessary certificates anddocuments within the dates prescribed by the Principal.Provided that the payment by a student of an amount shall notestablish a claim to admission or re-admission to a class of a college.Provided further that it will be at the discretion of the principals ofcolleges to refuse admission or re- admission of any student withinthe permissible University rules.3.(B) The maximum time period to complete any course will bedouble the duration of the respective course.Professional courses, Semester courses and Research degree will becovered by the norms of respective regulatory Bodies and relevantOrdinances.The expression "a regular course of study" wherever it is used inthese Ordinances, means attendance at least 75% of the lectures andother teaching in an affiliated college in the subject for theexamination at which a candidate intends to appear and at such otherpractical work (such as work in a laboratory) as is required by anyStatute, Ordinance or Regulation in force for the time being in theUniversity.Provided that in the case of a N.C.C. cadet, only 70% attendancewill be required if the officer commanding of the unit certifies that hehas attended not less than 70 % of the parades during the session.A shortage up to 5% of the total number of lectures delivered orpractical work done in each subject may be condoned by the Principalof the college/ Head of the Department (in case of UniversityCampus) concerned for sufficient reasons.A further shortage up to 10% may be condoned by the ViceChancellor on the specific recommendation of the Principal of thecollege/Head of the Department concerned.(in case of UniversityCampus)No student shall be allowed transfer from self-finance college to aidedcollege.Provided that a post-graduate student of one college seekingadmission to another college in the same locality (district) for a

second post- graduate course will not be required to submit a transfercertificate but only a letter of recommendation from the Principal ofhis college.Provided further that a student may be allowed to migrate fromone affiliated college to another after his application for admission tothe ensuing examination has been forwarded to the University except,as per decision of Admission Committee meeting dated 07.08.2015:A. Normally a student shall not be allowed to change college.B. Subject to fulfillment of conditions of Ordinance, or transfer ofParents or Guardians and change in place due to Marriage/ anyother relevant and genuine reason, Registrar may permit changein college in view of NOC/agreement between Principals of theconcerned two colleges.C. Admission of students due to transfer from other University shallbe considered only after ascertaining equivalence of concernedcourse by Dean/ Subject Convener.Upon fulfilling the above, the Vice-Chancellor may accordpermission for transfer.4. A candidate seeking admission to a college after thecommencement of the session shall be required to pay tutorialdues from July of the year unless he/she migrates from some otherrecognized institution and has paid his/her fees in that institutionup to the month preceding.5. When a student has made all payment, the Principal shall grant atransfer or leaving certificate in the form prescribed.6. Except with the permission of the Principal of the college of whichthe student is a member, a student shall be refused admission to acollege from which his/her transfer certificate was issued.

Other Rules:1. A student shall not be allowed to do Post Graduation in more thantwo subjects offered by him/her in U.G. third year with thecondition that the candidate can pursue only one P.G. course fromone college.2. A student, who has been punished in a criminal case or a criminalcase is registered against him/her shall not be admitted to anycourse. Each college shall place a column in the admission form toenter criminal information if any by the applicant. Strict adherenceto the above will be the sole responsibility of the Principal of thecollege concerned.3. The date of admission shall follow the University academiccalendar.For admission to graduate courses (B.A., B.Sc., B. Com.) theapplicants must have passed the Intermediate examination by anyIntermediate Board recognised by the University (List attached).4. For admission, in P.G. Courses minimum percentage in respectiveU.G. Courses are listed below:M.A.M.ComM.Sc.45%(for non-practical subjects qualifyingpercentage shall be 40%)45%45%Candidates secured percentage less than above limits shall not bepermitted for admission.

6. Except B.A.5% relaxation in admission may be allowed to theapplicants belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe, and2% relaxation in case ofSportsmen who have representedtheir institution in games and sports at National/Statelevel on presentation of relevant certificate, in respect of eligibilitypercentage. However entire relaxation will not exceed 5%.7. Barring Professional and Semester based Courses (Governed byvarious regulatory bodies), college Principal may permitadmission to candidate having upto5 gap years between eligibilitydegree and course of admission, for UG courses after deduction ofmarks @ 1% per year and finding place in merit at the revisedpercentage.Admission of applicants having more than 5 gap years shallbe decided by Vice Chancellor.The Admission Committee in its meeting held on02-05-2019has resolved that compulsion of 5 years gap is dispensed off for thecourses which have undergraduate as minimum eligibility foradmission.8. (a)Each college shall inform the number of students admitted in eachclass to the university within a week of the expiry of the last date fixedby the University.(b)The colleges will not admit any student beyond the number of seatsapproval by the university.Note- The provisions relating to attendance of students shall be strictlyfollowed in the class.9. Reservation of seats to SC, ST, OBC, PH, EWS and dependents ofArmy personals shall be governed by prevailing U.P. StateGovernment orders/as per rule laid down by Siddharth University.Relaxation in percentage marks to SC, ST, Differently Abledcandidates shall also be provided as per government orders/ rule laiddown by Siddharth University .10. Student who has failed, shall not be admitted in nextthe course.year/classof11.(A) For faculty change at P.G. level candidates must have 55%marksin aggregate at U.G. courses Professional courses, such as

B.Tech./B.B.A./B.C.A./L.L.B. will not be covered under facultychange. However, B.B.A. students can do P.G. in Commerce.(B) A student having B.Sc./B.Com passed with Economics subject in thirdyear of study, may be admitted to M.A.(Economics) and binding ofhaving 55% marks for faculty change shall not be applicable in suchcases .12. A student having English Language/Hindi Language in U.G. IIIrd yearmay be admitted to P.G. course in English/Hindi.13. All certificates must be thoroughly verified by the college beforeadmission.14. Allotment of enrolment number to students shall beUniversity.done by the15. Any candidate, who has passed B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. examination ofthis University, shall be allowed to present himself for examination inany one subject prescribed for the B.A./B.Sc. examination, not takenby him/her at the degree examination, provided the candidate willhave to appear in part I, II and Part III papers in that particularsubject, within seven years since passing the last qualifyingexamination, which will lead to his/her admission in that subject.Master of Arts (M.A.)EligibilityA candidate who has obtained the B.A. degree (three year course) ofthis University or of an Indian University recognized for the purposeby the Executive Council.Provided also that a candidate having done B.Sc. with Mathematicsshall not be admitted to the M.A. Examination for the degree ofMaster of Arts in Mathematics.A candidate, who wishes to be admitted to M.A. examination inDrawing and Painting, must have passed B.A. examination withDrawing and Painting as one of the optional subjects in IIIrd Year.However, a candidate who has not passed the B.A. examination withDrawing and Painting as one of the optional subject may also beadmitted to M.A. examination in Drawing and Painting, providedhe/she has graduated himself/herself in other subject from arecognised University and has also passed the five year DiplomaCourse in Drawing and Painting from a recognised Government ArtSchool.A c
