01 Volvo On Call (VOC)Volvo On Call*WARNINGVolvo On Call (VOC)* is a supplementary service that you subscribe to as a customer. Thesubscription consists of safety, security andcomfort services.The Volvo On Call system (hereinafter calledVOC) is linked to the car's SRS and alarmsystems. The car has a built-in GSM modulefor communication between the car andVOC's services. Map (p. 16) shows thecountries where the system is available. Contact your Volvo dealer for current information,since the map may change. The subscription's services/offer are dependent on themarket. Contact your Volvo dealer for information on which services are applicable inyour country.AvailabilityOnce the remote control key has beenremoved from the car, the VOC system'sfunctions are available continuously for5 days and then once per hour during thenext 22 days. Abuse may lead tosupplementary charges.The ON CALL button can be used for allother services, including roadside assistance.Cancelling a serviceA service that has been started can be stopped within 10 seconds with one press on theEXIT button.SettingsPossible options and settings in the menusystem (p. 15). Key lock - decide when the SOS and ONCALL buttons should be activated. Thefunction means that the buttons are onlyactivated if the remote control key is inposition I or II, or if the engine is running. 01 Volvo On Call (VOC)car there is the option to activate the car'shorn and direction indicators in order to facilitate the search.The car's instrument panelThis function provides the driver with accessto a range of information: fuel level, remainingmileage with existing fuel quantity, averagefuel consumption, average speed, and readings from the odometer and trip meter.Vehicle informationBasic data about the car such as model, registration number and VIN number are easilyaccessible.Anti-theft warningIf the car alarm is activated the driver isadvised of this via the mobile.Remote locking of doorsThe mobile app carries out a "health check"of the car and shows information on bulbs,brake fluid, coolant and oil level.Status for all doors and windows is shown.The driver can lock and unlock the car. Forsecurity reasons the password for the application is always required to remotely unlockthe car.Driving journalRemote heater startChecking the carDetailed information on each journey duringthe last 40 days can be downloaded andsaved. There is also the option to export all orselected journeys from the mobile applicationin spreadsheet format and send this to anemail address. Suitable for travel on officialbusiness, for example.There is the option to deactivate the drivingjournal. In which case the car does not sendany log information after each completedjourney.56Certain car models.Only applies to the V60 PLUG-IN HYBRID.If the car is equipped with a parking heaterthen it can be started immediately or programmed to start at two different time pointswithin 24 hours.Remote engine start (ERS)5Remote start (ERS – Engine Remote Start)means that the car's engine can be startedremotely in order to warm up/cool down thepassenger compartment before departure.The climate control system and audio andmedia system start with the same settingsthat were in use when the car was parked.Running time for an engine started with ERS01can be selected from 1-15 minutes, and theengine is switched off once the time haselapsed. After 2 ERS activations the enginemust be started in the normal way beforeERS can be re-used.WARNINGTo remote-start the engine, the followingcriteria must be met: The car must be supervised.There must be no people or animalsinside or around the car.The car must not be parked in aclosed, unventilated area - the exhaustgases may seriously injure humansand animals.NOTEFollow local/national rules/regulations onidling.Battery and state of charge6See how much charge the hybrid battery hasand whether charging is in progress.Set charging for specific times6If you do not want charging to start straightaway when the charging cable is connected,}}9

01 Volvo On Call (VOC)01 it is possible to use the mobile app to set thetime when charging is to take place.Reminder to plug in the chargingcable6You can enable reminders in your mobile appif you forget to plug in the charging cablewhen the car has been parked.Preconditioning6Preconditioning prepares the car's drive systems and the passenger compartment beforedeparture so that both wear and energyneeds during the journey are reduced. It is possible to configure the timer settings by sending the desiredsetting using a mobile phone, see remoteheater start (p. 10).The heater in the car is controlled via SMS.Being able to control the heater in the carwith your mobile phone means effortlessoperation of the heater, increasing the comfort experience at a cost of an SMS.The heater function has two times, in thedescription called T1 and T2. These showwhen the car has reached the set temperature.
