ESL Beginning Level1Imperative: Do & Don’t School RulesTeacher’s NotesBefore distributing the worksheet, begin the lesson with a conversation to assess your students’ knowledgeof general school rules. On the chalkboard list as many rules as you can elicit from your students. Maketwo lists, one under the word “DO” and the other “DON’T.” Make sure that you cover some of thephrases below:DOAsk permission to speak. Keep your desk clean.Come to class regularly.
