UPDATED 04.06.20Business of Entertainment, Media and TechnologyJoint Stern-Steinhardt-Tisch MinorNew York City is home to major sectors of the entertainment and media industries, including major mediaconglomerates, network television, independent film, book and magazine publishing, advertising, and two of thelargest cable companies. This cross-school minor includes courses from Stern School of Business, Tisch School of theArts, and Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. It provides a foundation in the businessaspects of media and entertainment and how technology impacts these industries. Students take electives from areasthat deepen their knowledge base and understanding of these industries.Important policies:--The minor in the Business of Entertainment, Media and Technology will be earned by completing aminimum of 16 credits of the following courses below.A minimum grade of C is required for all courses intended to count toward the BEMT minor, and theminimum overall GPA in the minor is 2.0.o *Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic of the Spring 2020 semester and subsequent temporarychanges to grading policies, all BEMT students are eligible to count Spring 2020 courses with aPass/Fail grading basis towards minor requirements if a passing grade is awarded. Pass/failrequests should be submitted through the student’s home school. *The 16 credit minimum is required and non-negotiable.Eight credits must be earned from Stern. The remaining eight credits must be earned from Tisch and/orSteinhardt.Some courses listed below may have pre-requisite courses that do not count towards the Minor.
