TreasureHunt for Text Evidence GameNarrative and Information CardsMake a game out of finding and using text evidence. Tell students that they are treasurehunters, seeking gems of information in the text. Students can look for big ideas that the authoris trying to share. These can often be found in first and/or last sentences of paragraphs. Also,numbers are often significant text evidence because they are concrete.
