SAFETYThe Pressure Sensor Controller and this manual contain essentialinformation for the protection of users and others from possibleinjury and property damage and to ensure correct handling. Please check that you fully understand the definition of thefollowing messages (signs) before going on to read the text, andalways follow the instructions. Please read the operation manuals of related apparatus andunderstand it before operating the controller.Do not disassemble, remodel (including change of printedcircuit board ) or repair. An injury or failure can result.Do not operate beyond specification range.Fire, malfunction or controller damage can result. Please use it after confirming the specification.IMPORTANT MESSAGESRead this manual and follow its instructions. Signal wordssuch as WARNING and NOTE will be followed by importantsafety information that must be carefully reviewed.Indicates a potentially hazardous situationthat could result in death or serious injuryif you do not follow instructions.Gives you helpful information.Do not operate in atmosphere of an inflammable, anexplosive and corrosive gas.Fire, an explosion and corrosion can result. This controller is not an explosion-proof type.Prepare the double interlock by another system (Mechanicalinterlock etc.) and check operating normally, when usingthis controller for an interlock circuit. An accident by a malfunction may potentially result. These instructions must be followed while in maintenance ;Turn off the power supply, stop the supplied air, exhaustthe residual pressure and verify the release of air beforeperforming maintenance.Otherwise it can cause injury.23

SAFETY (continue)NOTEFollow the instructions given below when handling your controller.Otherwise, the controller may be damaged or may fail, therebyresulting in malfunction. Do not drop it, bring it into collision with other objects or applyexcessive shock (980m/s2 or more). Do not pull the lead wire with force or lift the controller by holdingthe lead wire. Pulling strength is as follows.Power and output lead wire : less than 50NLead wire with connector for sensor : less than 25N Do not use in place which oil or chemical splashes. Perform wiring and cable correctly. Do not perform wire or cable while power is on. Do not use wire or cable with power cable or high-voltage cablein the same route. Connect Terminal FG to the ground when using a switchingregulator obtained on the commercial market. Insert a noise filter (line noise filter, ferrite element or otherelement) between the switching regulator and controller whenanalog output is used. Do not insert and pull pressure sensor (connector) with the powerturned on. Do not press the buttons with a sharply pointed tool. Start measurement three seconds after turning the power on.Measurement output will be OFF for the first three seconds afterturning the power on. Warm-up for 20 to 30 minutes when detecting fine pressure.Initial drift of about 1%F.S. occurs immediately after turning thepower on.4Model Indication MethodPSE20 –Option 2No Symbol : None4C : Connector for Sensor Lead Wire(4pcs)Option 1No Symbol : NoneA : Panel Mount AdapterB : Panel Mount Adapter Front Face Protective CoverUnit SpecificationNo Symbol : Unit selection function provided(NOTE 1)M : SI units fixed (NOTE 2)Input / Output Specification0 : NPN open collector 5 outputs Auto shift Input1 : PNP open collector 5 outputs Auto shift InputNOTE 1 : The new Measurement Law prohibits use in Japan ofcontroller with a unit selection function.NOTE 2 : Fixed unit for compound, vacuum, low pressure is : kPafor positive pressure is : MPa5

InstallationMounting by Panel mount adapterConnection Fix the panel mount adapter to the controller with the set screwsM3 8L (2pcs) as attached. Make connection after turning the power off. Install the lead wire separately from the route for power cable orhigh-voltage cable.Otherwise, malfunction may potentially result due to noise. Be sure to ground Terminal FG when using a switching regulatorobtained on the commercial market. If analog output is performed connecting to a switching regulatorobtained on the market, switching noise will be superimposed andproduct specification can no longer be met. That can be preventedby inserting a noise filter, such as a line noise filter and a ferriteelement, between the switching regulator and the controller, orby using a series power supply instead of a switching regulator.48 Conversion Adapter (ZS-26-D)PanelWaterproof seal (Accessory)M3 8LFront Face Protective Cover(ZS-26-01)Panel Mount Adapter (ZS-26-B)* It can be rotated 90 degrees to be attached.* Front panel of this controller meets IP65 (if 48 conversionadapter is used, it meets IP40). However, if the panel mountadapter is hold enough with screw and the instrument is notseated correctly, water might enter. Screw shall be tightened 1/4to 1/2 turns more after touched correctly.Panel Cut DimensionsPanel thickness : 0.5 to 8mm 0.155 or moreNotice when removing the controller The controller with panel mount adapter can be removedfrom facility after removing two screws as shown in afigure, by making insert the suitable thin card for the hookof both the sides, pull a panel mount adapter to the front, and remove it.If panel mount adapter is drawn forward with nail caught, the adapter and controller may be damaged.37.5 -0.255 or moreHookCard89

Special Setting (continue)About Auto shift functionConditions and explanations for Auto shift functionThis function corrects the setting value of each switch output accordingto change of pressure source. Even if pressure source is changed, this can do correct decision on switch output. Keep constant pressure for 10ms or more from the close signal ofAuto shift input. At Auto shift input, display indicates [ooo] for approx. 1 sec. And thepressure at that time is memorized to [C 5] or [C 3] as correctedvalue. The switch set as Auto shift mode at the time of initial settingoperates with the value which applied corrected value [C 5]/[C 3]to setting value.· CH1 will operate with Auto shift function. The operating value of OUT1, OUT2 applies corrected value[C 5] to the set value [P 1] to [P 4] or [n 1] to [n 4].· CH2 to CH4 will operate with Auto shift function. The operating value of OUT1 applies corrected value [C 3] tothe set value [P 1], [P 2] or [n 1], [n 2]. Span is 15ms or less until switch output perform soon after Autoshift input. When corrected set value exceed the set pressure range with Autoshift input, the value is changed to be within the range of set pressure. When Auto shift function is turned off, corrected value becomeszero. When Auto shift function of all channels is turned off, even if Autoshift input is Lo (Non Voltage input) does not show [ooo]. Correct value [C 5] or [C 3] after Auto shift input vanish when offthe power. Correct value [C 5] or [C 3] for Auto shift input function is reset aszero (Initial value) when re-supplied power. With Auto shiftPressureNormal pressureSourceLower pressureSourceHysteresisIncrease pressureSourceC 5(C 3)C 5(C 3)P 1(P 3)P 2(P 4)Switch OUT ON1 2OFFResponse time of15ms or less Switch output atAuto shift input10ms or moreAuto shiftinputHiLoUsing with Auto shift input, accepted set range is like below.Pressure m-101kPa-101kPaForLow kPa10kPa10kPa101kPa101kPaNote) No EEPROM in the memory of corrected value.1MPa1MPa-100kPa-100kPaSet pressure range240Accepted set range25
