SPACE AND FACILITIESRegular Ayurveda onsite internship may take place at a local south Austin facility like St. Edwards University, SouthCongress Road, Austin, Texas, or at yoga studios hired for the day. Some Internships may also be broadcast or done"live" via zoom. Our Ayurveda Seminars are ONLINE and DISTANCE LEARNING and in-person internships, onsite labs, and workshops. The students may attend intensive internships in person with us, which is held at the above locations. All classes areonline except for our internship intensive weekends, community events, onsite workshops (see page 9 for moreinformation). How does Hybrid Training Delivery work? Most of our classes are online via Zoom. Internship and labs are offered both as a hybrid—combination of online labsessions and in person in Austin every couple of months for a weekend. (See space and facilities above). Hybridtraining is being used by schools all over the country and is the most popular education delivery. Instructors canteach online more naturally by using high-definition video or, use multimedia presentations, whiteboard, share files, collaborate in real-time and allow students to take live online quizzes, or, do classwork by doing collaborativegroupwork open assignments'. Onsite Labs and internships in person allow students to have the best of both worlds.Online courses make traveling obsolete and allow students and instructors to participate sitting right in front of theirusing personal computers, iPhones, tablets, or smart-phones. The practicum portion of the course and internship ispartly done online and partly in person. In person internship will resume this year in 2021.ONLINE APP and Software- For live online lectures, we use either Zoom meetings or related software. We also useCanvas Learning Management System for asynchronous learning. We use SLACK groups to chat and talk to studentsfor asynchronous class discussions, class announcements, etc. We use Vimeo for archived recordings and classvideos. We may also give podcast links for supplemental audio classes or discussions. We use Google Drive to shareall E-Learning material, and Dropbox Details are shared with the students during an online orientation session. The benefits of hybrid and online training are:Most classes are recorded and available for viewing (for a limited time).Online live classes may offer live quizzes, polls, collaborating on documents, and online attendance.Automatic offline attendance reports, test results, and evaluations via Canvas LMSStudents can log into our online class meetings (webinars), or online sessions without leaving their home or work.Secure software for sharing confidential information during client encounters.Limited travel time and in person class time for demonstration of labs and/or internship in Austin Texas. We use CANVAS LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (LMS).
