District 18 Alignment Committee2021 Final Committee RecommendationALIGNMENT COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIONSThe Alignment Committee is pleased to present its recommendations for the 2021-2022 alignment ofDistrict 18.The Committee was charged with reviewing the alignment of the District’s existing clubs and areasand recommending an alignment structure for the 2021-2022 program year.The Committee considered following as stipulated to us by the District 18 Director and in the DistrictLeadership Handbook:1) Remain within the Toastmasters policy. Each division must have a minimum of three areas. Each area must have a minimum of four clubs and a maximum of six clubs.2) Look at the geographic aspects.3) Plan for possible growth and possible loss.4) Discuss potential changes with current district leaders and area and division governors.5) Ability for clubs, areas and divisions to participate and excel in the Distinguished program6) Communicate the alignment with clubs, areas, and divisions that were impacted by thealignment.We requested and received input from division directors and input from area directors and clubpresidents who were impacted by changes in the alignment.Our recommendations are graphically presented, by division, on the document, “District 18Toastmasters Alignment Proposal 2021” on the D18 website under the Business Meeting Details.The Alignment Committee wants to thank District 18 Leadership for their guidance and support andfor giving us the opportunity to serve our District.Respectfully submitted,William Buckley, DTMAlignment Committee Chairman
