A fan draws air through the intakegrille on the front of the air purifier. Then it passes through the carbonpre-filter which traps large dustparticles and reduces odors.2. The white HEPA filter then removesparticles as small as 0.3 micronsfrom the air at 99.97% effectiveness.3. The clean air is then exposed togermicidal-grade ultraviolet light toreduce the level of airborne bacteria, molds, and viruses. The purified air isthen released through the outlet grilleon the top of the unit.To Order Replacement PartsReplacement parts may be available where the air purifier was purchased orcan be obtained directly from Hamilton Beach.PurifierModelControlType04160Manual04161Room Size* Carbon(sq. ft.)Pre-FilterHEPAFilterUV BulbStarter TypeFS-5 or FS -22200 ft049220491204810904004100AirSmart200 ft04922049120481090400410004162Manual350 ft04923049130481090400410004163AirSmart350 ft0492304913048109040041002 22 2* Each air purifier is designed to filter the room five times per hour at highspeed.
