IntroductionThis workbook came about as I worked with my clients teaching them all the wonderfulways you can write affirmations. I would start teaching my clients the normal typical way towrite an affirmation and then I would go into a different style of affirmation for differentreasons. My clients would tell me that this was one of their favorite courses.I would start by asking my clients about their problems and what wasn’t working in their life.I listened intently to uncover a limiting belief and help them to reframe it. I would say justthe right affirmation that they needed in that moment. It seemed to me, as if it was Divineinspiration popping out of my mouth to assist my clients in turning their limited beliefaround.I love hearing my clients say, “Wow! That was great.” “What was that again?” “Can you sayit again?” What was hard for me was remembering what I said. Funny thing about Divineguidance. It really touches your heart, when you hear it.These instructions on affirmations are what I teach in many of my classes. Please be patientin the beginning, as you may already know the information. How To Use This BookThis book begins by telling you about affirmations and why you want to use them. I knowmany of you have used affirmations. Some of you may even think affirmations aren’t all theyare cracked up to be. If you have tried working with affirmations and you have the belief thatthey don’t work for you, then this section is a must read. Just know, that the affirmations youare using are working, but maybe not the way you want them to work. The secret is thataffirmations work, but you might be stating them in a disempowering way.Read the first section as a reminder and definitely pay attention towards the end of the chapter,if you believe affirmations don’t work. I bet you will be pleasantly surprised, as I will be sharingwith a new way to use affirmations.The second part of the book will have a certain topic for you to journal on. By journaling onthe topic, it helps to uncover the stuck emotions that are buried deep within your heart, mindand body. By bringing these hurtful emotions to the surface you are releasing them and lettinggo of the old story that no longer services you. It’s a great healing process that I did whilegoing through cancer, custody suit and having no income. After you have cleared your heart,mind and body of the old experience there is an affirmation to support your new way of being.Use the new affirmation any time your mind wonders back to the old story. The Power Of LanguageThe art of consciously using language to program yourself for success.True prosperity means more than just having an abundance of money. It is having greaterfreedom, increased livingness, confidence, inspiration, harmonious relationships, peace ofmind and happiness.Think of affirmations as the core principles of the life that you want to create. Look ataffirmations as your To Be List. Affirmations are a powerful reminder throughout the day thatkeep you on track toward your goals and dreams. You decide for yourself exactly what andwho you will become and what you will acquire along the way.Take a moment and think about what it is that you desire to manifest.Who do you want to become because of acquiring this?An affirmation is a positive statement of what you are creating towards your desire. Did youknow whatever you put your attention on grows and becomes permanent in your life? If youkeep saying “I hate my job,” then your job has no choice but to be terrible. But, if you changethe statement to “I work at a wonderful job,” then the environment will change or the peopleyou don’t like will leave. The more you think and dwell on what you don’t want, the more youget of what you don’t want.When you say an affirmation, pay attention to how you feel. Sometimes some old junk ornegative stuff will come up. This is really good because you now know what your limitingbeliefs or blocks and barriers are. If you don’t hear your negative thoughts, then you wouldn’tknow what was in the way and what needed to be worked on.2 P A G E

3 Steps To Help You With AffirmationsThe First Step Is Positive and Present TenseThe first step is to take your negative thought and flip it into a positive affirmation. Be sure tosay your affirmation in the present tense. Most people don’t say affirmations the right way.That is why they don’t work for many people. They say them in the future or put theaffirmation is a conditional tense. All affirmations need to be said in present tense.Here is an example of future tense:“I will ”“I’m going to ”“I’ll try to ”You’re putting something into place in the future. But the future never arrives. We only havethe present moment.Here is an example of a conditional tense:“I would like to .”“I’ll try to ”“I wish I could ”“I hope to ”These statements have the idea that something may or may not happen. Affirmations need tobe clear definite statements. When they are conditional, they are wishy-washy, because youhope for something that may or may not happen.Affirmations must be stated in what’s called, “The present tense.” This makes them strongerand more powerful.Here is an example of present tense:“I have abundance.”You don’t wish for it in the future. You don’t hope that you’ll have it one day. By putting theaffirmation in the present, you know exactly what you want. It is best to say, “I am or Ihave ” An affirmation can work as it has the ability to program your mind into believingthe stated concept. This is because the mind doesn't know the difference between what isreal or fantasy.3 P A G E

The Second Step Is Write It DownThe second step is to write down your affirmation in the present tense. It is a good idea towrite your affirmation on a 3x5 card, so that you can remember what it is that you wrote.Believe me, as the day goes on, you’ll forget about your affirmation.This is a good way to imprint your mind. Draw a design with colored makers or colored pencilson the index card with your affirmation on it or cut out a picture of what you want from of amagazine and put it on the refrigerator with your affirmation. The drawing or picture workstwo fold. First, you see the 3x5 card. It stands out and grabs your attention. Second, your mindthinks in pictures and will remember it better. Also when you look at the affirmation cardremember to imagine yourself in the picture.Are you going to write your affirmation on a 3x5 card or cut a photo out of a magazine andwrite your affirmation on the photo?The Third Step Is RepetitionMost people say their affirmation once and think it’s going to work. You have to say themover and over and over again and put feeling into what you are saying. Affirmations will onlywork when they are repeated. It is best to say them three times in a row. The reason why isbecause it tells your mind to pay attention. It takes sixteen times of saying something in a rowfor it to go into your subconscious mind.Even the world’s greatest affirmation experts such as John Assaraf or Brian Tracy will tell youaffirmations need to be said over and over and over again. The more you say an affirmation,the more it re-patterns your brain and creates a new belief. When you say your affirmationsover and over again, the dominant thought comes into play. Whatever your dominant thoughtis, that is what you will move towards. Once that belief comes into play, things start to happenand manifest into your life. If you are thinking about prosperity and abundance all the time,then that is what will start to show up in your life.Here’s a little tip to help you say your affirmations.I spend a lot of time driving on the freeway. I came up with this technique to use my timewisely. I put my 3x5 card in the little cubbyhole where my radio information is. I glance at thefirst sentence, as I hold onto the steering wheel with both hands. I use each of my fingers totrack how many times I say that one affirmation.I start with my pinky and move to my thumb. Then onto the next hand. My goal is to say myaffirmation thirty times. If I forget where I am because I had to change lanes. I look down tomy fingers and see which finger is pressed against the steering wheel. After I finished the firstround I move onto the next affirmation on the 3x5 card. Give it a try. I bet you’ll love it.How are you going to track your affirmations?4 P A G E

“Prosperity is the ability to do what you want to doat the instant you want to do it.” AnonymousWhat Are You Consciously Thinking About?There was a study done at the National Science Foundation awhile back. They discovered thatdeep thinkers think around 60,000 thoughts a day. That's a lot of thinking! But what wasamazing in this study was what the majority of what people think. They found that 95% ofwhat people think is negative. That’s shocking! That means 57,500 of your thoughts arenegative thoughts. AND here’s the kicker. They concluded that about 90% of what youthought one day is carried over to the next.This is why affirmations are so powerful. Now to top that off, did you know that thosenegative thoughts affect your cells and your well-being? We have about seventy trillion cells inour body that absorb your thoughts and feelings. It’s all inter-connected. In order to stayhealthy and be happy, it all comes back to doing affirmations throughout the day. The bottomline is they work and you are taking conscious control of your thoughts, your health anddestiny.People don’t recognize their habitual, almost unconscious thinking. The majority of peoplehave habitual negative thought patterns and beliefs that run in the background of their mindand they don’t even realize it. Some of these thoughts and/or beliefs are very destructive suchas “I’m not good enough,” or “Life is hard,” or “I can’t get ahead,” or “There isn’t enough.”What is your favorite habitual thought you tell yourself all the time?Byron Katie, as well as many others have pointed out this fact. Katie talks about how toovercome false beliefs. When you’re not aware of your thoughts, when you’re not consciousof how your thinking affects you, then those false and unconscious beliefs affect younegatively—and that’s why affirmations don’t work. People don’t work to recognize and getrid of false beliefs. This type or thinking takes you into a downward spiral which get worse5 P A G E

and worse, but the good news is that you can override the background noise with powerfulpositive affirmations.People also get so caught up in their present circumstances that they don’t think theiraffirmations will work and give up too quickly. They forget it takes time and they also believein the outside influences. They might be thinking that their affirmations are not going to work.Then they prove it to themselves by pointing out all their past experiences that have failed andjust gave up.People fall into the habit of listening or talking about all the bad things that are happening intheir life or around the world. The key is to become aware of your negative thoughts.Once you are aware of the negative thought, take a moment to acknowledge it and replace itwith a positive thought. When a negative thought comes up tell yourself, “I’m learning a newway.” “Cancel that, the new thought is .” Then state your affirmation. When a negativethought comes up, replace it with a positive thought.What new affirmation are you going to use to replace your favorite habitual thought you tellyourself?6 P A G E

Pay Attention To Your FeelingsQuantum Physics studies how everything in our world comes into existence. It studiessubatomic particles, the smallest particles known to man, far smaller than atoms. AlbertEinstein, Niels Borh, a Nobel Prize winner in 1922, and others discovered that basicallyeverything in this universe is made up of energy.Everything including thought is energy. This energy then vibrates at a frequency which joinstogether with energies of the same harmonious frequency to form what we “perceive” to bereality, which is what we experience in the physical world.Affirmations help you tap into the frequency because you are directing your thoughts to createyour desires. When your thought matches the energy vibration, it brings those vibrationalfrequencies together—your thoughts and the manifestation of them in the physical universe.This energy or vibrational wave is what influences your subconscious mind, much like a radiowave. These waves go out into the Universe and align to what you want in order for you toachieve your goals.Every feeling or emotion causes us to emit a vibration either positive or negative. There areonly two categories for our feeling, those that make us feel good or bad. Any time you are inalignment, you will feel good. You will feel joy, love, passion, and happiness. When you areout of alignment or there is resistance in your life, you will feel fear, guilt, shame, depression,discouragement and worry.Affirmations give you the confidence that you can tap into your power. Saying youraffirmations over and over again will give you the confidence you need to achieve any goalyou desire. When you have confidence from your affirmations, then prosperity, love, healthand abundance will start to manifest in your life.A study done at Vanderbilt University found that you really can “Fake it ‘til you make it.” Itis all about your attitude. Take smiling as an example. Smile right now. Even if you don't feellike smiling when you start smiling, you really do find something to smile about!7 P A G E

There Are Only Really Two Things To Remember.First, make a commitment to do your affirmations every day and pay attention to yourthoughts and feelings. If you have a lot of negative limiting beliefs that are coming up,remember to cancel them and state your positive affirmation three times in a row. It will helpthe mind, as it can only think of one thought at a time.Second, you want to have a plan for implementation and action towards your desire. Withouttaking action, nothing will happen. You have to make the effort to get into action and moveyour feet.At this point, you should have a good understanding of affirmations and how they work. Theyare a powerful asset when it comes to advancing your life in any way you choose. Whetheryou want to have more peace in your life, create amazing relationships, activate optimal healthor have abundant wealth only using positive, present tense affirmations will definitely takeyou there.8 P A G E

What! Affirmations Don’t Work!You may have already tried working with affirmations. You might feel that they don’t workand that may be true for you, but you are still using them, even if you are aware of it or not.You are just using affirmations in the negative sense. You could be asking, “Why is this alwayshappening to me? Why can’t I get ahead? Why am I so afraid?” These are affirmations that arebeing asked in the negative form. These are disempowering questions that we ask ourselvesall the time. You might be aware of some questions similar to these that you ask yourself. Whatdo you ask yourself? What if we could turn that around for you?What if you were the type of person who needed to know why and what’s the cost? As humanswe either go towards pain or pleasure. If you are asking “why” questions to a problem like theabove example, then you are moving towards pain. Your brain is like a computer and whenyou are asking “why” questions, it starts searching for answers. The only problem is when youask “why” negative questions, your brain tells you everything you cannot do.“Why is this always happening to me? Because you are a loser.”“Why can’t I get ahead? Because you don’t deserve it.” “Money is evil and I have to spend itas fast as I get it.” See how your mind talks back to you?Traditional affirmations tell you to state what you want, but the problem is that you don’tbelieve what you say. For example: “I’m getting ahead” or “I have courage.” Right after yousay the affirmations, your mind tells you, “That is not true” or “No, you are not.” The thoughtthat pops up right after you say the positive affirmation is your belief that keeps you fromhaving it. Here is an example: “I’m getting ahead, that’s not true.”Here is how to get affirmations to work.What if you could take the question and turn it around to be an empowering question. Forexample, a disempowering question is, “Why is this always happening to me?” Turn it aroundto what you want instead and it becomes an empowering question, “Why is life working forme?”The important part here is awareness to the question that you ask yourself. When you noticethat you are asking disempowering questions, stop and ask yourself, “What do I want instead?”Then reframe the negative statement into an empowering one.Here is an example. “Why can’t I get ahead?” Ask yourself, “What do I want instead?” Theanswer might be to have more than enough. You would reframe the question to anempowering question. “Why do I have more than enough?” Are you getting the idea? Anotherexample, “Why am I so afraid?” Think about what you want and reverse the negative questioninto a positive question, for example, “Why am I so brave?”Now it is your turn. What negative questions do you ask yourself?9 P A G E

Now that you have them written down ask yourself, “What do I want instead?”Now that you have written down your empowering question how are you going to rememberit? I like to put my empowering statements on a 3x5 card so that I can read them during theday.What are you going to do to remember your new affirmation?Now create a plan for implementation and take daily action steps towards your desire.What are you going to do on a daily basis to remember to say your empowering affirmation?10 P A G E

Wow! A New WayYour subconscious mind does not recognize the words “no, not and don’t.” It cancels out thenegative. If you don’t believe me, don’t think about a red rose. What did you think of rightthen? I bet it was a red rose. Your subconscious mind obeys whatever you tell it.This third way I am going to teach you is by talking negative. This is how you can talk to yoursubconscious mind in order to get what you want. It works by stopping the fearful way ofthinking. Also, it works because most of the time we say what we don’t want. If you went upto your friend and asked her what she most wanted in life. Her answer would be somethinglike this. “I don’t want to be in debt anymore or I don’t want to be fat, lonely, broke etc.This is just how people think. It is harder for someone to say, “I want to be prosperous” or“I want to be thin, loved, wealthy” etc. You get the point. Remember that 95% of thepopulation thinks negatively, because we have been trained to think this way.You start off the sentence with” I don’t know how.” for example I don’t know how to beprosperous. The “don’t know how” means that you are turning the problem over to a highersource. It is not your responsibility to figure out how to do it. That is the Universe’s job. It isyour responsibility to trust that it will work out for your best and highest good and to takesteps to go after what you want.The next part of the sentence is to state what you want. You will begin the sentence with “Ijust know that ” The best way to do this is by using the traditional style of affirmations, “Iam prosperous.” Lastly, finish the sentence with “I am happy.” Let’s put the whole sentencetogether so you know how it looks. “I don’t know how to be prosperous. I just know that Iam prosperous and I am happy.”When I started using affirmations this way, I wanted to know if it worked or not. I had toprove it worked to myself. Here’s a story of how I proved to myself that this style ofaffirmation worked. I decided that I wanted some extra income. After I thinking about it, if Ijust received some extra cash. How would I know the affirmation worked? I stated that Iwanted to have a bonus come to me. That way I would know for sure the extra income wouldcome through a bonus.My nephew was dog sitting and I was house sitting, as the adults went away on a trip. The dogwas a puppy that chewed everything. I lost a pair of shoes, my nephew lost a pair of slippers,the dog’s leash, and head phones. The backyard got destroyed. The dog chewed old plasticplanting pots, balls, a corner of the wood deck and anything else he could get in his mouth.We thought it was best to leave him outside when we were gone only to find out he broke thewood fence to get out. This dog was trouble with a capital ‘T’! It took both of us to watch thedog. After about a week of dog sitting, my nephew said to me, “Auntie, I’m going to give youa bonus for helping me watch the dog.” Aha! It worked. I had my proof. I received extraincome though a bonus. The best part was my nephew used the word “bonus” which I clearlystated I wanted. The statement I used was, “I don’t know how I receive a bonus. I just knowthat I do now and I am happy.” I was so happy it worked. This same affirmation I found a11 P A G E

great apartment with trees outside every window. A zapped up a kitchen table and even aboyfriend.It is a simple process and fun to say. Here is the script: I don’t know how I (Fill in the blankwith your desire). I just know that I do now and I am happy.Here are some examples of how you can use the process. I don’t know how I am at peace with my circumstances. I just know that I am nowand I am happy. I don’t know how I increase my income. I just know that I do now and I am happy. I don’t know how to forgive myself. I just know that I do now and I am happy.Now you have learned many different ways to say affirmations. Pick one type that resonateswith you and create the new life you want to live. I like to turn my affirmation into a chantthat I say over and over again. Anytime I get into fear, worry or doubt, I go back to myaffirmation and say it until the negative feeling has been replaced. Have fun with it.You are learning to align your heart with your desire. Once it clicks into place, everything inyour life will change for the better. You will be happier. There will be a feeling of peace andjoy as you go about your day, knowing that you are intentionally creating what you want.When you focus on believing that your life will be better is when it starts to turn around. That’swhy affirmations are helpful. Affirmations are positive statements about your desires, a newlife, and a new way of being. Affirmations help to shift your mind from focusing in the negativeevents that are happening in your life to a new positive outcome that you desire.In the beginning, you will not believe the affirmation because you mind is trained to find fault,to think negative, but if you focus on the desired outcome, your mind will make the shift. Oneday you will wake up and you will notice your life has gotten easier and that you are that newperson living the new experience.You cannot get your desired life without changing some aspect of yourself. Usually the shiftstarts in your mind before it appears in your outer world, your life.The key here is to be constant, patient and positive. If you think it is taking too long, whatdid you just do? You just brought in the energy of doubt. When this happens, immediatelycancel that thought and repeat your affirmation three times in a row. The reason why you dothis is to tell your brain something new is happening. Then watch for the results to appear inyour life.Enjoy writing your affirmations12 P A G E

Each page has a theme and ashort paragraph about the theme. Then there a prompt to get you started thinkingand writing. Sometimes we hide ourdreams from ourselves, because someone in our life judged us and said, “You can’tdo that. That’s a silly idea.” What is hidden within your heart? What is it that youreally want to do? Plant your dreams among the stars.Tell me what is your dream?Affirm for yourself: I am my dreams fulfilled. The ‘I am’ Presence within meblesses, prospers and saturates every aspect of my day.16 P A G E

Courage Is The Key To EnlightenmentIt takes real courage to face your fear and step into your heart’s desire.Most people let their fear stop them. They believe their fear is real, but you myfriend are wiser. You understand that fears job is to keep you safe and that fear isjust an emotion.Like any emotion it must be acknowledged, felt and heard. Once you listen towhat fear has to say and talk to fear, it will calm down. There will be days whereyou have to remind yourself that you can do it and that you are safe, as fear maypop its head up once in a while. How can affirmations help you get pregnant? Every thought you think and every word you say is an affirmation. All of your self-talk or inner dialogue is a stream of affirmations, often negative.
