IntroductionThank you for your purchase of the Unger Stingray Refillable System.This manual will help you get set up and begin using your system right away.1.0 Safety InformationThe user must comply with all applicable local and federal labor laws and safety codes and standards. Prior to systeminstallation and start-up, it is essential that you observe the safety regulations and instructions for installation andmaintenance contained in this manual.1.1 General Warnings To prevent damage to the surfaces, never clean LED, LCD, plasma or similar monitors with this system.Avoid spraying in the air. Place the cleaning pad on glass and spray in short intervals.Never use with more than one short and three long pole sections, for a maximum pole length of 12 feet/3.7m.Follow all established safety procedures.This product should be held and used based on the user’s comfort level.Use all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).1.2 Intended UseThis cleaning tool is intended for indoor surface cleaning. This tool is to be used by professionals only. Always take carethat the device is properly installed, regularly maintained and used only as intended. The temperature in the workingarea should be between 40 F - 105 F (5 C - 40 C).1.3 Cleaning Solution - WarningRead and follow all use and safety instructions on the cleaning solution label. Contact manufacturer or supplier ofcleaning solution to request Safety Data Sheet.Precautions: Avoid eye contact. Do not direct spray at face and eyes. Avoid breathing of vapors, mists or spray. Use onlywith adequate ventilation. Do not swallow. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. If medical advice is needed, haveproduct container or label on hand.IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continuerinsing. If eye irritation persists: get medical attention. Dispose of in accordance with applicable federal, state/provincial and local regulations.Do not use liquids other than conventional multi-surface or window and glass cleaners. DO NOT USE withconcentrates, creams, gels, abrasive formulas or chemicals containing bleach. Do not use cleaning solutions that areclassified as carcinogenic, mutagenic or reproductive toxins. Do not use with flammable or combustible liquids. Readlabel and safety data sheet (SDS) to ensure proper use. Test on small, inconspicuous area before broad application.3

2.0 System OverviewStingray is a modular system. The handheld cleaning unit consists of the triangular cleaning head equipped witheither a microfiber pad or adapter plate and QuikPad , depending on the kit purchased. The head is flexible and has anembedded spray jet in the center. The body of the unit can be opened to change the bottle and to change batteries.The handheld unit can be used as a hand tool or can be extended/collapsed with extension poles. The activation buttonon the back of the unit is used to release the cleaning solution.Every pole section has an activation button to release the cleaning solution.Refer to Installation images on pages 4-6QuikPad andAdapterStingray RefillableBottleLidButtonPin HoleStingray HandheldConnectorStingray ExtensionPole - Long3.5’/1.1mStingray Extension Pole Short1.5’/.5m3.0 Installation3.1 Installing the Bottle Open the compartment on the handheld unit by sliding the green button back andremoving the lid (picture 1). Remove bottle from unit and unscrew cap (picture 2). Fill with desired cleaning solutionand replace the cap (picture 3). Do not fill bottle inside handheld unit. Maximum of 5 oz of liquid. Do not squeeze or overfill the bottle. Cap should have a tight seal prior to placing inside unit. Do not use liquids other than conventional window and glass cleaners.DO NOT USE with concentrates, creams, gels, abrasive formulas or chemicalscontaining bleach.412

Read label and safety data sheet (SDS) for each cleaning solution to ensure properuse, including recommended surfaces. Push the bottle onto the connector at the top of the compartment with Unger logoside facing up. Push the bottle forward and down so that it fits into the compartment(picture 4). Replace the lid and confirm that the green button is locked into place (picture 5). Test on small inconspicuous area before broad application.3.2a Assembly of the Microfiber Pad The system is equipped with a triangular shaped microfiber pad. Put the microfiber pad onto the padholder. Fix it in place with the elastic bandsin each corner. When the pad is dirty, take it off and wash it. Please see care label on pad. The area that can be cleaned with one pad will vary depending on the conditionof the surface being cleaned.3.2b Assembly of the Adapter Plate & QuikPad The system is compatible with the triangular shaped adapter plate and QuikPads . Align the triangular adapter plate to the pad holder and press to lock into place. Align the QuikPad with the corners of the adapter plate and press down to secure. When the pad is dirty, remove and dispose. The area that can be cleaned with one QuikPad will vary depending on thecondition of the surface being cleaned.3.3 Extension Poles The handheld unit can be used as a hand tool for easy to reach surfaces (picture 6). The handheld unit can be extended to reach higher or hard to reach surfaces usingthe available short (1.5’/.5m) or long (3.5’/1.1m) extension poles (see page 4). The system is designed to use a maximum of three long and one short extensionpoles. Never exceed maximum recommended length. Unger is not liable for anydamages or injuries resulting from the failure to follow these instructions. When adding extension poles, be sure locking pins are locked intocorresponding pin holes (picture 7). To unlock, press the locking pin and separate the extension poles (picture 8).3456785

Installation/Use3.4 Battery ChangeTwo AA batteries are required.The battery compartment is located under the bottle.Remove the bottle from the compartment during battery change.Unscrew the battery lid.Remove old batteries and dispose of in accordance with applicablefederal, state/provincial and local regulations.Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix different types of batteriessuch as non-rechargeable and rechargeable.Replace with new batteries. Pay attention to the correctorientation of each battery.Close the compartment and secure the lid with the screw.Do not expose batteries to direct sunlight, heat or fire.4.0 UseEvery pole section has its own activation button to start the pump.11. Before beginning a new cleaning job or when using a new pad, press thepad flat against the window and press the activation button for a maximumof five seconds to pre-moisten the pad. Use circular motions to dampen theentire surface of the pad. During the cleaning process, use as little liquid aspossible. If you need to re-moisten the pad, hold the activation button forabout one second.5x Pad only needs to be damp to achieve the best cleaning results.2. When window cleaning, start by cleaning the window frames. Beginning inone corner, clean the outer edge of the window being sure to keep contactwith the frame.3. Once outer area is cleaned, in all four corners and along all four edges,clean inner area of window.23or6

Additional Information5.0 MaintenanceWipe up any cleaning solution that has dripped/leaked from the bottle into the unit. After use, clean and dry thehandheld unit and all extension poles with a microfiber cloth. Do not clean the handheld unit or poles under runningwater. Read and follow the washing instructions on the pad. Store the system safely. Do not lean extended poles againsta wall. An upright position with cleaning head up is recommended. Handheld unit, poles, and adapter plate contain valuable materials that can be recycled.Please arrange for the proper recycling of old units. Batteries contain substances that can contaminate the environment. Please dispose of your old batteries inaccordance with applicable federal, state/provincial and local regulations.8.0 StorageAfter using the Stingray , remove the cleaning pad and wipe off any accessliquid from the main unit and extension poles, using a soft cloth. Store the unitand extension poles in a dry place.Store Stingray upright. If storing the Stingray for a long period of time,remove batteries to prevent corrosion.Do not store below 32 F/0 C. The Stingray can be stored on the UngerHang Up (sold separately).Microfiber pads are machine washable up to 200 times. Follow the instructionson the pad tag for proper washing instructions.The Unger Hang Up is soldseparately.7
