I haveenjoyed hearing about your experiences and learning about what events you would like tosee here at the Center for Senior Citizens.September is Senior Center Month! We are celebrating with our theme of “We areStronger Together”. Strength can be measured in so many ways and I am confident thatour minds and bodies are stronger when we are together here at the Center for SeniorCitizens.To help you gain physical strength we have expanded our fitness offerings to includechair exercises, yoga, tai chi and two new total body fitness classes. To exercise mentalstrength, we will take time together on the patio with therapy dogs and support eachother’s different interests through many new clubs including a travel club and a craft club. These are just a few of ournew offerings and they are free to members of the Center for Senior Citizens. I hope you join us each week in Septemberfor surprise treats and activities while we celebrate our special month. Memberships & AmenitiesGOLDEN SHEARS SALONSENIOR CENTER MEMBERSHIPSIf you are a resident of Glendale Heights, 60 years orbetter, your annual membership to the Center is just 5for the entire year and non-residents can join for only 30 for the year. Members will receive the quarterlySenior Newsletter mailed directly to your household andwill be eligible to participate in an array of activities atthe Center every day, including use of the library, gameroom and craft room. A membership also allows youaccess to use the walking track and walk the upstairshall at the Sports Hub during the week day hours. Bocceball and lawn bowling is also available for members inthe field house at the Sports Hub. One of the greatestbenefits of a membership is friendship.
