Paul Emerson, Governor 2017-2018Alabama District North CivitanHello Alabama District North CivitansAs the 2016/2017 Civitan year comes to andfor our communities and helping the people that areless fortunate such as helping the Schools and the Children in the Schools, helping the senior citizens in ourend and a new year has begun, let us think back oncommunities, our Fire Departments, our First respond-what we could do in the New Year to make our Civitaners of our Towns. Try to relate to the new prospectiveClubs and our District better just a little better, strong-member what we do for our communities. If it were noter, a little bigger. It will take all of us working togetherfor Civitan, think of all the peoples that would not beto accomplish this. Let us put forth every effort tohelped. Myself I could not imagine our Town, Ourmake Civitan the best service origination in America.School and our Community without some support forWhat can each of us do? We can grow Civitan. I chal-those in need from an Organization such as our Civitan.lenge each member of the Alabama District North toHelping others is what Civitan does best. Alone weget at least 1 new member this upcoming 2017/2018could not do much but working together as a Club, andyear. That doesn’t sound like much of a challenge butas a District we can move Mountains so let us as a Dis-if we could do this, the District would be doing GREAT!trict turn up our sleeves and start building a Bigger andWe have had a good Civitan year 2016/2017.Greater Civitan. If you know an area, small Community or smallMs. Donna did a great job but I do not believe weshould be satisfied unless we can make it better thantownship that would prosper by having a Civitan Club inthe year before. To do that we will have to put a littletheir area let me know and we will do everything in ourmore effort, walk the extra mile but it would be worthpower to put a new Club where it is wanted and need-every step to make Civitan Bigger and Better.edBuilding new Civitan Clubs is not an easy taskto accomplish but we can do it. People before us builtup the district to where it is today and we need tocontinue building the growth of Civitan, if we don’t trywe will never succeed, so let us all put forth extraeffort because Civitan is worth every effort we putforth. To interest people in becoming a Civitanmember just tell them about all the great things we do.Attention all Board Members and Chair personal, remember the Board meeting in Huntsville on Oct. 28,2017 at the Civitan Building.Paul Emerson (Governor-Elect)2927 Co.
