HOT ROD DELUXE INTRODUCTIONCongratulations on your purchase of a Fender HotRod Deluxe, the next step in the evolution of FenderAmerican Tube Amplifiers. The Hot Rod Deluxe is aversatile musical instrument that features extensivetone shaping abilities and virtually unlimited gain —defining the next generation of FAT Fender Tone.NOTES REGARDING BIAS:Your new Fender amplifier has an internally mountedvariable bias control. The bias control is used to set theidle current in your amplifier's output tubes, properlymatching the amp's performance characteristics to thetypes of tubes you intend to use. Each different tubebrand and manufacturer may require a slightly differentbias setting. If you replace your tubes with the Fendertypes your amp was originally outfitted with, no biasadjustment is necessary. Having said that, an amp'sbias can drift over time in much the same way theintonation settings on your guitar can. Both need to belooked at periodically. The bias setting of a tube-typeamplifier is analogous to the idle setting on a car. If it isnot set properly, every other aspect of the systemsuffers. A properly biased amp will sound great andwill run reliably and safely. The Hot Rod Deluxe is rated at 40W R.M.S. andincludes among its many features a unique MoreDrive function adding yet another sonic option to theH.R’s potent arsenal of tones.NOTE: If you’ve read this far don’t stop now! Checkout the sound settings and experiment with them.Spin the tone controls and see what happens Patch in the footswitch and give the Reverb atwist Roll back the drive, crank the master, makethose tubes dance Also, beware! Internal voltages of tube-type amplifiersare lethal and capacitors are capable of storing theselethal charges. To ensure tone and safety, biasingthis amp (and all other amps) should be carried out byqualified personnel only. So, take the time to get to know each other Tune-up, Plug-in and Play-on.HOT ROD DELUXE SOUND SETTINGSAust-Tone - American Standard Strat Neck PickupININSkank 'n' Crank - American Standard Strat(Guitar volume at 6 for skanking rhythm, open to 10 for cranking lead)INRoad House Clean - Relic Strat '60'sF e n d e r4 I n n o v a t i o n

INPUT 2 - A lower impedance and sensitivityinput than input 1, useful for guitars with activepickups. When used with passive guitars, it provides a darker tone. Both inputs are identical if usedsimultaneously.H. TREBLE - Adjusts the amount of high frequencyboost or cut in both the NORMAL and DRIVE channels. NOTE: Like many vintage amplifiers, all tonecontrols are pre-distortion and adjusting themdetermines how the amplifier will distort.C. BRIGHT/NORMAL - Adds top end brightness tothe NORMAL channel only.I. BASS - Adjusts the amount of boost or cut in thelow frequency range in both the NORMAL andDRIVE channels. Performance Tip: When playing athigher volume levels, the tube power ampenhances bass when it is overdriven. It may benecessary to use lower bass settings when playingat high volume settings.D. VOLUME - Adjusts the overall loudness of theNORMAL channel.E. MORE DRIVE - When this button is pressed in,DRIVE channel gain is increased providing more sustain.F. DRIVE - Adjusts the amount of preamp gain inthe Drive channel. Turning this control up willincrease the amount of gain and overdrive. Thiscontrol works in conjunction with the MASTERcontrol to set the overall output loudness while thedrive channel is active.J. In magnetic particle testing, we are concerned only with ferromagnetic materials. 3.2.2.4 Circular Magnetic Field. A circular magnetic field is a magnetic field surrounding the flow of the electric current. For magnetic particle testing, this refers to current flow in a central conductor or the part itself. 3.2.2.5 Longitudinal Magnetic Field.

Figure 1: In a record head, magnetic flux flows through low-reluctance pathway in the tape's magnetic coating layer. Magnetic tape Magnetic tape used for audio recording consists of a plastic ribbon onto which a layer of magnetic material is glued. The magnetic coating consists most commonly of a layer of finely ground iron

A magnetic disk storage device includes a magnetic disk having an annular data area for recording data, a drive for rotating the magnetic disk about the axis of the magnetic disk, a magnetic head for reading and writing data to and from the data area of the magnetic disk, and a transfer motor for moving the magnetic head when actuated.
