A Message from the ChairThere you were, sitting at home, watching My Little Pony (like all of us), andthinking to yourself, jeeze. This sure is an odd thing to get into. That eventI went to last year? Vanhoover Pony Expo? Tropical Canada? What a crazytheme! And just when you thought the world couldn’t get any stranger,2020 happened!As chairman for this, the 3rd year of Vanhoover Pony Expo, I am humbledby the will and sheer dedication of the incredible staff of this event. Manymonths ago in the spring of 2020, once it was clear the world was going howit was and lockdowns started happening everywhere, we knew the event thisyear would be different. Many events were cancelling all together, and manynew online events were springing up to fill the holes. The question came upto the staff: Should we run an online event, or should we just cancel and waitfor next year? The staff, overwhelmingly, made it clear. Vanhoover WILL goon this year! We shall make it happen! It may not be what we wanted, but wehope it helps with what we all need: Pony. Friends. Fun.This year is a challenging one for a small con like ours to get by with fewer people registering andcontributing to our costs. I just wanted to thank each and every one of you who chose to financiallysupport the event by buying a registration, some merch, and supporting the vendors who are alsofacing challenges this year. In particular, our generous Patrons and Alicorns are quite figurativelyhow we could afford to bring in our amazing guests this year and have our streaming event space!You helped make it possible for all of us to be together in this virtual event!Thank you the incredible Vanhoover Pony Expo staff, the fine people at PonyFest Online, our stellarpanelists and game hosts, The BC Anthro Events Association, and to all of you who continue tosupport a Brony event in Canada! It is a dreamcome true for him to be working as a voice-over actor in Vancouveralongside many of the great performers who inspired him to follow thepath which led to his career.Cole’s upbringing shoveling snow in Edmonton, Alberta taught himthe value of hard physical labour which he promptly decided was notfor him. He pursued acting on stage and briefly pursued screen workbefore discovering the joy that is voice over; from then on it has beenhis sole desire to perform and play behind a microphone.Since moving to Vancouver in 2008 Cole had been fortunate to providevoices for shows such as My Little Pony, Netflix’s The Dragon Prince,Zoids Wild, and Beyblade Burst, as well as playing Spider-Man forMarvel’s Super Hero Adventures.
