INTRODUCTIONWhile the COVID-19 pandemic created numerous uncertainties, the IndiaGateway continued to prioritize and productively engage with Ohio State’sstudents, faculty, staff, alumni and partners through virtual platforms in 2020.Ohio State has advocated on behalf of its international students andcontinues to offer support and a myriad of resources whether they arestudying on campus or abroad. The India Gateway has leveraged virtualplatforms to connect with prospective, admitted and current students, andhas provided resources to those needing assistance.While travel restrictions reduced the number of faculty, staff and studentvisits to India during the year, the India Gateway leveraged online resourcesto continue our partner engagements in the form of experiential learningopportunities, corporate executive education, research engagements andtopical webinars. With the number of ongoing engagements including thosefunded by government grants and corporate funds, and the initiation of newmemoranda of understanding and renewals of existing partnerships, we areextremely appreciative of the strong encouragement we have received fromour stakeholders and partners.We are proud to facilitate Ohio State’s mission in this part of the world. STUDENTSThe India Gateway supported the recruitment of new students to Ohio State, providedresources to incoming students, promoted academic programs and identifiedinternships for students to gain practical experiences in their future careers.Recruitment & Support Services –Supported Ohio State’s undergraduate and graduate recruitment efforts by visitingschools, both in-person and virtually, and coordinating virtual opportunities foradmissions counselors.
