Ensure the following operating conditionsbefore you switch on the instrument: The instrument is dry and shows no sign of condensation. The instrument is positioned as described in the following sections. If there is damage, immediately contact the carrier who delivered the instrument. Make sure notto discard the box and packing material.Packing materialRetain the original packing material. Before initial operation, the batteries must be fully charged without connected load (R&S TSMA6/6B, R&STSME6 reps. R&S TSMExxDC).For charging the batteries, users have two possibilities:In-bay charging in the R&S TSMA6B-BPInsert the batterie(s) in the correct way (charge indicator facing up). Take care ofthe nut in the battery and the pin inside the battery bay (see Chapter 6.6, "BatteryExchange - Hot Swapping", on page 34).Getting Started 4900.9060.02 0113
