Once I had children of my own, I added to those memories: wrapping presents, making “Santa”noises, again family sharing smiles and laughter, and again selecting one present for them to open early. Now thatmy children have families of their own and live away from home, as my classroom students, you have become my“children,” so it is with great sincerity that I wish for you happiness during our holidays as you build your ownholiday memories.
