Testimonials“I absolutely loved the ECBU curriculum. Onmy first day of work in the ‘real world’ I felt morethan ready to take on any challenge. In myexperience, the economics courses preparedme for the quantitative aspects of my job and thebusiness courses prepared me for the qualitativeand critical thinking aspects of my job. I lovedhaving small classes for more individualizedattention and for the opportunity to get to knowall of my professors. I will always appreciate theECBU department especially for helping me tolearn to think critically and problem solve which Ifeel are two of my best assets today.”- Leah Hopper ‘13, RiverFrontInvestment Group“One of my Economics and Business professorsalways reminded us to ‘be the boss that youwould want to work for.’ As I begin my career inthe Marines, I see the importance of this philosophyin my daily life. The ECBU Department also taughtme the importance of resiliency and a strong workethic. These habits have helped me throughout myinitial training and education in the Marine Corps. Iknow that I will be successful in my future becauseof what my professors taught me throughout my timeat VMI.”- Second Lieutenant Jameson Donahue ‘19,United States Marine Corps
