Adult Basic Education ProgramThe Adult Basic Education (ABE) Program at FLCC offers a free TASC Prep Program with openenrollment throughout the year that serves to prepare individuals to successfully pass the TASC test(formerly, GED) and earn a high school equivalency diploma from NYSED. Participants in thisprogram work closely with career advisors at FLCC for help with employment and continuingeducation. ABE also offers free ESL courses throughout the region.“After completing the TASC Prep Program, I enrolled atFLCC. I felt that I adjusted well to the college because I wasalready familiar with the campus and everyone made me feelsafe and welcomed. My advice to anyone consideringattending the TASC Prep Program or FLCC is to be awarethat you are going to struggle, but if you put in the time andenergy you can make it. Also, ask a lot of questions!
