EMAIL TEMPLATE Are you able to put enough money in the plan for yourself? Congress had a revisioned of the 7702 regulations earlier this year that really opened up opportunities for employers like yourself to put away large amounts of dollars and have them fairly liquid. In fact, it might be a great opportunity for all of your employees. PHONE SCRIPT If “no” MEETING SCRIPT Well, Congress actually made my job a bit easier with a couple of Acts in the last two years. The first one came in December of 2019 called “The Secure Act”. Because Congress realized that they had to do something, they offered a tax credit – yep, dollar for dollar – if you have not had a qualified plan in the last three years. Here’s how it works – up to 6,000 a year for up to 3 years! That’s potentially 18,000 in your pocket and you don’t even have to do a match! I wanted to give you an up to date performance report on our 401k. You will notice some huge returns – not just YTD, or the past 12 months or even the 10 year average – look at the returns since the inception of the account. , this is the opportunity that you and your employees have missed by not having a plan. One of the keys is working with an agent or advisor, like myself, that is knowledgeable about the rules of qualified plans and is willing to work with each of your employees to insure they understand their options. The second big change was the revision of the 7702 regulation. It was put in the middle of the Cares Act at the first of the year. It has really opened up the opportunity to build assets using the rules and laws of life insurance. For instance, leveraging and potentially tax free income has never been better! On top of that, for a business owner like yourself, the most important ingredient could the incredible amount of liquidity available in the early years like 75 to 80% by year two and potentially 100% by year three or four! It wasn’t health insurance, more vacation days, child care, more or less hours. no. it was FIND US A WAY TO GET TO RETIREMENT. WE NEED THE EMPLOYER’S HELP. WE CAN’T DO IT ALONE. PART FOUR Now, , I know you care about your employees. I know you know all of their names, their spouses names and I suspect even their children’s names. I wouldn’t be surprised if you know each of their financial conditions. And I think I know this, you would at least offer them the opportunity to save dollars out of their paycheck, right? PART FIVE Let me show you a couple of opportunities. For us to do that, I need to pick up a census from you. The sooner you could get that to me, the better. I can wait for it now if that’s not too much trouble. I’ll come back with opportunities that we can go more into depth with. As I put this together for you, let me ask you a few questions (proposal). Also, what about a match? Not that I’ll hold you to it, of course, but what would you like to see on paper as an example? Would you want to do a match and how much? I’ll tell you this, you offer just 25 a week as a match, not give it to them, only for those willing to take the next step toward their financial future.
