TemperatureMiniature resistance thermometerFor sanitary applications, for orbital weldingModel TR21-BWIKA data sheet TE 60.27 TYPE ELCLASS Ifor further approvalssee page 6JANUARY 2019Applications Sanitary applications Food and beverage industry Bio and pharmaceutical industry, production of activeingredientsSpecial features Sensor can be calibrated without having to open the process Simple and fast electrical connection using an M12 x 1plug connection With direct sensor output (Pt100/Pt1000 in 3 or 4-wireversion) or integrated transmitter with 4 . 20 mA outputsignal, individually parameterisable with free-of-chargeWIKAsoft-TT PC configuration software Wetted parts from stainless steel 1.4435 Self-draining and dead-space minimised, materials andsurface finish qualities in accordance with standards ofhygienic designModel TR21-B with flow-through housingDescriptionThe model TR21-B resistance thermometer providestemperature measurement in sanitary applications and canbe used for the measurement of liquid and gaseous mediain the range of -30 . 150 C [-22 . 302 F]. For use inhazardous areas, intrinsically safe versions are available. The connection ends are smooth and prepared for orbitalwelding. The process connections meet the stringentrequirements, in terms of materials and design, of hygienicmeasuring points. All electrical components are protectedagainst moisture (IP67 or IP69K).The resistance thermometer is available with direct sensoroutput or integrated transmitter, which can be configuredindividually via the WIKAsoft-TT PC configuration software.Measuring range, dampening, error signalling perNAMUR NE 043 and tag no. can be adjusted. For easy calibration or maintenance, the sensor isinterchangeable without having to open the process. Thushygiene risks can be minimised and downtimes can bereduced. The spring loading, integrated into the union nut, guaranteesthe contact between the sensor tip and the bottom of theprotection tube and thus ensures a short response time andlasting high accuracy. Insertion length, process connection, sensor and connection method can each be selected forthe respective application within the ordering information. The electrical connection is made via an M12 x 1 circularconnector. For applications requiring the sterilisation of the instrumentin autoclaves, an especially temperature-resistant instrumentversion is available.WIKA data sheet TE 60.27 03/2021Data sheets showing similar products:Protection tube for sanitary applications; model TW22; see data sheet TW 95.22Protection tube for sanitary applications, for orbital welding; model TW61; see data sheet TW 95.61Resistance thermometer, with flange connection; model TR22-A; see data sheet TE 60.22Resistance thermometer, for orbital welding; model TR22-B; see data sheet TE 60.23Miniature resistance thermometer, with flange connection; model TR21-A; see data sheet TE 60.26Page 1 of 14
