Maple VocabularyNameMaple syrup is an annual crop. It is made each year. The sugar content ofsap is about 2% so it takes considerable effort and energy to concentratethe sap into the attractive sweet maple syrup. It is essential that a vastamount of water be removed from the sap to increase the sugar contentto 66%.
