I Spy SightWordsPurpose of this resource: Your file aims tohelp students document sight words found on there ISpy Hunt. Students will use a variety of reading sourceto find their sight words.How to use this resource: Laminate a varietyof pages from different reading sources such as junkmail, magazines, brochures, instruction guides ormanuals. Please see the list of ideas in this file to helpyou collect a variety of reading sources. Label eachsource for student reference e.g. manual, catalogue,flyer.Students write their own sight words from a list. Ifyou’re in need of Dolch or Fry word lists, I have a freefile on my blog that you could use, click here. Studentsthen hunt for each sight word using a magnifying glassor you could use plastic, toy glasses. Pupils circle theword with a dry erase marker and then record wherethey found it and how many times they spied it fromthat source.
