CareOccasionally you should dust the TX-NR801/TXNR801E all over with a soft cloth. For stubborn stains, usea soft cloth dampened with a weak solution of mild detergent and water. Dry the TX-NR801/TX-NR801E immediately afterwards with a clean cloth. Don’t use abrasivecloths, thinners, alcohol, or other chemical solvents,because they may damage the finish or remove the panellettering.4. PowerWARNINGBEFORE PLUGGING IN THE UNIT FOR THE FIRSTTIME, READ THE FOLLOWING SECTION CAREFULLY.AC outlet voltages vary from country to country. Make surethat the voltage in your area meets the voltage requirementsprinted on the TX-NR801/TX-NR801E’s rear panel (e.g., AC230 V, 50 Hz or AC 120 V, 60 Hz).The Worldwide model has a voltage selector for compatibilitywith power systems around the world. Before you plug in thismodel, make sure that the voltage selector is set to the correctvoltage for your area.For USA, Canadian and Australian modelsSetting the [STANDBY/ON] switch to STANDBY does notfully shutdown the TX-NR801/TX-NR801E. If you do notintend to use the TX-NR801/TX-NR801E for an extendedperiod, remove the power cord from the AC outlet.For British ModelsReplacement and mounting of an AC plug on the power supplycord of this unit should be performed only by qualified servicepersonnel.IMPORTANTThe wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance withthe following code:Blue: NeutralBrown: LiveAs the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this apparatusmay not correspond with the coloured markings identifying theterminals in your plug, proceed as follows:The wire which is coloured blue must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N or coloured black.The wire which is coloured brown must be connected to theterminal which is marked with the letter L or coloured red.IMPORTANTA 5 ampere fuse is fitted in this plug.
