Step 1: Build a College Liston BigFuture

BigFuture Strengthens College ListsAs students buildbalanced lists of colleges,it’s important to consider arange of factors, includinglocation, cost, size, andmajors offered.Together, these helpstudents determine whichcolleges are an overallgood social, financial, andacademic fit. BigFuture helps students find colleges and universitiesjust right for them. As of August 2019, BigFuture categorizes colleges on a student’s list as reach, match, orsafety based on SAT scores. For each college or university, students will see their SAT scores alongside the average score range (25th to 75thpercentile of test scores) of last year’s freshman class. At the top of their lists, students can track the total number ofreach, match, and safety schools. By building lists with atleast 3 reach, 2 match and 1 safety, students may addschools they would not otherwise have considered.95
