PICtail Plus Daughter BoardsPICtail Plus Daughter Boards: Card Edge ModularExpansion ConnectorsSpeech Playback PICtail Plus Daughter Board(AC164125)The Explorer 16 board has been designed with thePICtail Plus Modular Expansion Interface, allowing theboard to provide basic generic functionality and still beeasily extendable to new technologies as they becomeavailable.The Speech Playback PICtail Plus Daughter Boardimplements a fourth-order Low Pass Filter (LPF), speakeramplifier, speaker and 1 Mbit SPI serial EEPROMfor playback only applications. Speech playback isaccomplished by using the integrated PWM module on the16-bit products and filtered into a voice waveform using theLPF. This board is designed to operate on both PICtail andPICtail Plus Connectors.
