ASSEMBLY MANUAL2-7158Keep With Operator’s ManualVALVE AND PLUMBING KITNEW HOLLAND 7310 LOADERNEW HOLLAND TRACTORSMODELTT55TT752WDXXFWAXXValve and plumbing kit can be installed using tools ordinarily available. Valve control handle linkage has beenfactory preassembled for ease of installation. Shut offengine and engage brakes during installation.NOTE: Apply sealant only to all tapered threads unlesscoupled with swivel adapters. When using Teflon tape,wrap tape clockwise (as viewed from end) and wrap onlytwice. Keep sealant away from first two threads of taperedend to prevent contamination of hydraulic fluid. Do notuse sealant on O-ring or flare adapter threads.WARNING: Escaping hydraulic fluid underpressure can penetrate skin causing seriousinjury. DO NOT use your hands to check for leaks.Use a piece of cardboard or paper to searchfor leaks. Stop engine and relieve pressure beforeconnecting or disconnecting lines. Tighten all connections before starting engineor pressurizing lines.If any fluid is injected into skin, obtain medical attentionimmediately or gangrene may result.ATTACHING VALVE TO LOADER MOUNTING BRACKET (Figures 1, 2, & 3)1. Install 3/4 x 3/4 elbow fitting (9) into power beyondport of valve (1), directing elbow fitting (9) forward.Install adapter fittings (22), female quick couplers(15), and 1” plastic identification bands (16) ontoworking ports of valve (1) (See figure 2 for order ofcolor identification bands.)LESS CAB WITH CABXX3. Install 1/2 x 78” hose (12) onto elbow fitting (9) inpower beyond port of loader control valve (1). Slide78” nylon sleeve (32) over 1/2 x 78” hose (12) andsecure to fitting (9) at valve end with plastic tie strap(21). Tighten hose (12) to valve fitting (9).4. Install 1/2 x 96” hose (11) to tank port of control valve(1). Slide 96” nylon sleeve (33) over 1/2 x 96” hose(11) and secure it to fitting at valve end with plastictie strap (21). Install 1/2 x 112” hose (27) to pressureport of valve (1). Slide 112” nylon sleeve (34) over1/2 x 112” hose (27) and secure to fitting at valve endwith plastic tie strap (21). Tighten hoses (11 & 27) toports in valve.5. Attach valve mounting tube (24) to right mid mountingbracket using 1/2 x 2-1/2” cap screws (28), 1/2” flatwashers (29) and 1/2” lock nuts (30).6. Fasten valve mounting plate (23) to valve mountingtube (24) using 3/8 x 2-1/4” cap screws (2) and 3/8”lock nuts (5).7. Fasten valve (1) and decal mounting plate (4) tovalve mounting plate (23), with power beyond port onbottom, using 5/16 x 3/4” cap screws (6) and 5/16”lock nuts (7). (See figure 1.)8. Making sure surface of decal mounting plate is cleanand dry, remove backing from decal (20) and apply itto decal mounting plate (4).Fasten valve to plate usingholes in these locations onother side of valve.Figure 12. Thread nut (13) onto handle (3). Slide lock washer(36) onto handle (3) and attach to valve (1). Tightenhandle to valve with handle positioned upward(compared to downward position of power beyondport of valve). Tighten nut (13) to secure handle inplace. Slip boot (14) over handle and cover handlelinkage assembly. Thread ball (8) onto handle.Fasten plate to mountingtube using these holes.F-3874Page 1 of 903-31-10

2-7158Figure 2PLUMBING CONTROL VALVE TOTRACTOR HYDRAULICS1. Route hoses (11, 12 & 27) in sleeves from valve alonginside surface and under bottom of mid mountingbracket.Pressure Port2. Tractor pressure steel oil line is made of two partsconnected together underneath tractor right fuel tank.Disconnect two lines of tractor pressure oil line tubingat this joint, to allow splicing into pressure line.3. Connect power beyond hose (12) to rear sectionof steel line. Install 3/4-16 JIC x 22mm-1.5 metricadapter fitting (25) to front section of steel oil line.Route 1/2 x 112” pressure hose (27) in nylon sleeve(34) over rear axle of tractor, then to adapter fitting(25) and connect hose (27) to adapter fitting (25).4. A banjo fitting located under tractor seat is the tractorhydraulic tank port. Remove existing flow bolt frombanjo fitting, taking care to save copper seals tore-use with existing banjo fitting and replacementflow bolt (26). Place copper seals onto replacementflow bolt (26) and reassemble into banjo fitting.Install 9/16-3/4 straight adapter (31) into flow bolt(26). Route 1/2 x 96” tank hose (11) and sleeve (33)through hole in tractor platform ahead of rear axleand connect to 9/16 x 3/4 straight adapter fitting (31)to tank port.5. Making sure nylon sleeves (32, 33 & 34) cover entirelengths of hoses, including crimps, secure hosesand sleeves to oil lines under tractor using plastic tiestraps (10).PowerBeyond PortA Bucket CylinderBase (Blue)B Bucket CylinderRod (Red)D Lift CylinderRod (Yellow)C Lift CylinderBase (Green)Tank PortPLUMBING LOADER TO CONTROL VALVE1. Install 3/8 x 48” hoses (17) onto boom oil line tubes.Install and tighten hoses fittings one at a time fromthe bottom up. Temporarily loosening closest oil lineclamp will ease installation.2. Use 5/8” plastic identification bands (18) to color codehoses (17) by function as shown in figure 3. Slideone 48” nylon sleeve (35) over lower two hoses (17)and slide remaining 48” nylon sleeve (35) over uppertwo hoses (17), making sure hose sleeves (35) covercrimps at both ends of hoses (17). Install male quickcouplers (19) onto free ends of hoses (17).3. Connect hoses from upper two boom oil lines to upperpair of quick couplers and connect hoses from lowertwo boom oil lines to lower quick couplers, matchingband colors on quick couplers.4. After all plumbing has been completed, slowly cyclelift and bucket cylinders several times to purge airfrom hydraulic system. Retract cylinders and shut offtractor engine. Replenish tractor hydraulic system, ifnecessary, as specified in tractor operator’s manual.NOTE: When cycling loader, operate loader accordingto operation decal (20). If direction of control lever iswrong, or loader will not lower recheck connectionsshown.WARNING: Escaping hydraulic fluid underpressure can have sufficient force topenetrate skin, causing serious personalinjury. If injured by escaping hydraulic fluid,obtain medical treatment immediately.F-3874Page 2 of 903-31-10

2-7158PRINCE LVR VALVE SERVICEFollowing is an outline procedure for disassembling andreassembling valve.WARNING: The valve has a factory pre-setvalve relief setting. Tampering with this setting can cause serious injury to operator anddamage to tractor or loader. Unauthorizedadjustments or service to valve relief willVOID WARRANTY of both loader and tractor.If adjustments or service to valve relief arerequired during warranty period, an authorized service department must be consultedfor authorization.VALVE DISASSEMBLY (Figure 4)NOTE: Mark or tag all parts so they are reinstalled in theirproper positions.1. Slide boot (6) to top of handle (34). Remove hex headcap screws (36) from rod ends (9 & 10). Removehandle with boot and adapter plate (8). Remove nuts(28 & 31) from spool stud (7) and rod end assemblies(10). Remove spool stud (7) and rod end assemblies(10) from valve.NOTE: Spool adapters (33) are factory assembled.Removal from spools is not necessary. If replacing adamaged adapter, clean threads with loctite primerand install using loctite 262.2. Remove hex head cap screws (13) and end caps(14) from both spools. Remove detent sleeve (12)from regen spool. Remove steel balls (20), poppet(21), and poppet spring (19) from detent retainer (24).Remove retaining flat (15) and detent spacer (16)from regen spool.3. Secure handle end of regen spool. Using a rodthrough retainer ball holes, remove detent retainer(24) from regen spool.NOTE: Detent retainers (18 & 24) are installedon spools using Loctite 222 or equivalent. If spooladapter comes loose instead of detent retainer, pullspool completely out of valve and secure spool usingvice grips on land section of spool not machined forvalve bore.4. Remove washer (17), centering spring (26), and stopcup (23) from regen spool.6. Secure handle end of float spool. Using a rod throughretainer ball holes, remove detent retainer (18) fromfloat spool.NOTE: Detent retainers (18 & 24) are installedon spools using Loctite 222 or equivalent. If spooladapter comes loose instead of detent retainer, pullspool completely out of valve and secure spool usingvice grips on land section of spool not machined forvalve bore.Remove washer (17), centering spring (26) and stopcup (23) from float spool.7. Push spools in from handle end until rear spool seals(1) are exposed. Using wire hook and screwdriverremove rear spool seals. Push spools in from therear until front spool seals (1) are exposed. Usingwire hook and screwdriver remove front spool seals.8. Clean all parts, including valve body, in suitablecleaning solvent. After cleaning parts with solvent,use air pressure to blow any dirt or excess solventfrom all parts including inside of valve body.VALVE REASSEMBLY1. Examine all parts for wear and damage and replaceif necessary.2. Lubricate all O-rings and spools with oil to preventdamage when assembling.3. Lubricate all detent and spring centering parts with alight coat of grease before assembling.4. Reassemble all parts in reverse order of disassembly.NOTE: Use Loctite 222 or equivalent when installingdetent retainers (18 & 24).RELIEF VALVE, LOAD CHECK PLUGS and POWERBEYOND SLEEVENOTE: Relief valve (3), load check plugs (27) and powerbeyond sleeve (2) may be removed separately to cleaninspect or replace parts without removing valve spools.NOTE: If repairing or replacing relief valve (3), torquelarger hex nut (relief body) to 20-25 ft-lbs.REPLACING HANDLE PARTSIf replacing damaged handle parts, clean threads with5. Holding in on float detent sleeve (22), push in float loctite primer and install using loctite 242. Torque partsspool from handle end and remove steel balls (20) as shown in Figure 4.from float detent retainer (18). Remove float detentsleeve (22), poppet (21), poppet spring (19), retainingflat (15) and spacer (16) from float spool.F-3874Page 3 of 903-31-10
