Tracer MP581models are illustrated in Figure 1.Operator-display touch screens areavailable as options for all Tracer MP580/581 controllers. The operator-displaymodels are illustrated in Figure 2 onpage 5.You can use up to four EX2 expansionmodules to add extra points to a TracerMP580/581 controller. The expansionmodules communicate with thecontroller on an IEEE-485 I/O bus up to1000 ft (300 m) from the controller. TheEX2 expansion module is available intwo models:Tracer MP580 on Trane air handlersThe Tracer MP580 controller is availablepackaged with the following air handlers:The controller is factory wired to allsensors, actuators, valves, starters, andother items shipped with the air handler.Factory testing of connected pointshelps minimize field commissioningtime and expense.Door-mounted operator displayThe door-mounted operator displayworks with any Tracer MP581 or TracerAH541 controller. A retrofit kit isavailable to add an operator display to anexisting Tracer MP581. The retrofit kitincludes a complete enclosure door withan operator display mounted in it. Thedoor-mounted operator display is notavailable for factory-mounted TracerMP580 controllers.Frame-mounted Tracer MP581The frame-mounted Tracer MP581consists of a circuit board and atermination board mounted in a twopiece modular-frame assembly. Thismodular design allows the circuit boardto be stored separately while installationand wiring are completed. The framemounted model can be installed in newequipment or existing enclosures.Stand-alone operator displayThe stand-alone operator display isdesigned for permanent localconnection to a Tracer MP580/581 orAH540/541 controller. The stand-aloneoperator display includes a 7-day timeclock to provide scheduling for theassociated controller. The 10-foot(3 meter) connector cable can beextended up to 150 feet (46 meters).Tracer MP581 with NEMA-1 enclosureThe Tracer MP581 with enclosureconsists of the frame assemblymounted in an enclosure compliant withNational Electrical ManufacturersAssociation (NEMA) type-1 standards. Aline-to-low voltage transformer isincluded. The enclosure has a hingeddoor and plenty of room for input andoutput wiring. The assembly is UL-listed.Portable operator displayThe portable operator display isdesigned for temporary connection to aTracer MP580/581 or AH540/541controller. The operator-display touchscreen is mounted in a resin enclosure,which is placed in a padded, protectivecarrying case. A 10-foot (3 meter)connector cable is included.
