NATIONAL CATALOGUEWestern Canada as of August 2018Updates as of October 2019WEN ALSETEDLU MCIN ARA GNLILDBESIAGRICULTURAL. COMMERCIAL. RESIDENTIAL.SASKATOON, SK: 1-306-664-8420 EDMONTON, AB: 1-800-661-69361BUILDING FOR TOMORROW

IMPORTANT NOTICE1. GALVALUME should not be used on Animal Confinement Buildings.2. Due to the galvanizing process, the appearance of the spangles may vary considerably from one coil to another; this does not affect the qualityof the zinc coating.3. Due to pacification, GALVALUME may darken in appearance as it weathers. This does not affect the life-expectancy of the material.4. Galvanized steel must be stored in a dry place and in such a manner as to allow air circulation between the sheets in order to avoid condensation. Wet sheets must be separated and allowed to dry to avoid white rust.5. VICWEST recommends the use of a TurboShear power shear for cutting steel. If you wish to use a saw, the following precautions must be taken:(a) Cut sheets away from bundles and installed material so that hot filings do not damage painted surfaces.(b) Use shears to remove burrs from sheets, particularly where they have been cut at an angle.(c) Pre-painted material must be sawed on the wrong side, i.e., with the Pre-painted side to the floor.6. Storage Stain: Storage Stain composed of white rust or blackening, caused by moisture and sometimes atmospheric elements trapped betweenbundled sheets, is a continuing problem. This moisture can be caused by rain, snow or condensation created by changing temperatures. VICWESTcannot control these conditions, and therefore cannot be responsible for the resulting problem. This responsibility is yours and yours alone, andin order to minimize and attempt to eliminate the problem, we recommend the following precautions:(a) Always unload in dry weather or keep the material covered while unloading into a well ventilated building.(b) Inspect shipment immediately. If sheets are already wet, sign the freight bill accordingly and file a claim with the carrier.(c) If sheets must be stored outside, keep them up off the ground with one end elevated for drainage, and cover with a waterproof canvas, leaving the bottom open for ventilation.(d) If sheets should get wet, break the bundles and separate the sheets. If space is a problem, stand the sheets on end, strapped atthe top and fanned out at the bottom for both drainage and ventilation.IMPORTANT NOTICERegarding Fastening into Pressure Treated WoodBased on recommendations received from our suppliers, all fasteners exposed to the newpreservative formulations in pressure treated lumber must be of Stainless Steel.VICWEST Job Site DeliveryTo qualify for a Job Site Delivery, ONE of the following conditions must be met:A) The total Quantity of Steel Cladding must be greater than 20 Square.B) The Sheet Length of the Steel Cladding must exceed 14 feet. These requirements apply to additional cladding required to complete anyoutstanding jobs.
