336th Training SquadronDetachment 2The permanent party staff billets consist of a commander, onepersonnel specialist, one knowledge ops, and three military trainingleaders. The detachment commander represents the 81st TrainingWing and the 336th Training Squadron commanders at Keesler AFB,MS.Det 2 is staffed solely for the non-prior service/pipeline studentmission. On average, there are 60 non-prior service Airmenassigned to the detachment, with a typical class wait time of oneweek. Additionally, another 80 Airmen (TDY) report to the Det whileattending DINFOS, for administrative support.

336th Training SquadronDetachment 2Detachment 2, 336 Training Squadron at Ft Meade, Md. is assigned to AirEducation and Training Command (AETC), and is responsible to the 81st TrainingWing at Keesler AFB, Miss. for the military training and administrative support ofAir Force students attending the Defense Information School (DINFOS).Det 2’s primary mission focus is on the non-prior service/pipeline students frombasic training. The Air Force’s newest Airmen continue to develop theirAirmanship while attending technical training and earning their AF specialty code(AFSC). This includes: required military and ancillary training, administration ofrecycle and reclassification actions, non-judicial punishments and other discipline,initial/follow-on assignments, orders, finance, promotions, travel, safety, and more.The detachment facilitates TDY students attending other DINFOS courses.Most TDY students are self-sufficient, however Det 2 is responsible foradministrative issues including accountability, safety, discipline, and more.The detachment has the visibility of several interested parties andcommanders, including SAF/PA, AETC/CC, HQ AFPC/PA, and 81st TrainingWing. Det 2 completes the mission with the cooperation of several missionPartners: DINFOS, Fort Meade Garrison, 70 ISRW, JB Andrews, Bethesda,Keesler AFB, and others.

Basic Rules As Stated In AETCI36-2216- No smoking during the duty day for both (PS and NPS)- Call to quarters curfew is 2200 during school nights/2400 onweekends (NPS only)- No cell phones during the duty day (NPS only)- No POV use during the duty day unless approved by Det staff(NPS only)- Marching everywhere during the duty day (NPS only)- Instructors are not authorized to pull 341’s from NPS Airmen
