A Message from the PresidentA Message from the President elcome to Mt. San Jacinto College! I am thrilled that you aretaking the time to consider MSJC to begin or continue yourjourney in higher education. You are coming to us at an excitingtime. In November of 2014 voters across our 1,700-square-miledistrict passed Measure AA. The 295 million facilities bond willallow the district to improve and expand existing campuses aswell as build new facilities to meet MSJC’s current and projectedgrowth. It will provide the funding to add critical lab andclassroom space. The bond will allow this institution to continueto deliver the high quality education, facilities and instructionalequipment that the residents of this fast-growing region deserve.It allows this institution to implement its vision of transforminglearners, communities and lives.In keeping with our mission and implementing our vision,Mt. San Jacinto College provides an ever-growing number ofeducational opportunities for the diverse communities we serve.MSJC offers classes at five locations including the San JacintoCampus, the Menifee Valley Campus, the San Gorgonio PassCampus, the Temecula Education Complex and the TemeculaHigher Education Center (THE Center). In addition, MSJCoffers a number of online classes to provide students with even greater flexibility in accessing their education. Thiscatalog contains all of the information you will need to assist you as you work to achieve your individual goals,including campus telephone numbers, student resources, course descriptions and district, state and federal policies.The student is the mission and vision of this institution. MSJC courses and programs are designed to meet the needsof the students. MSJC offers the required undergraduate classes to prepare you for transfer to a four-year institution.The college also provides pathways for students to begin new careers, develop or upgrade occupational skills, improvebasic skills and to seek opportunities for personal enrichment and lifelong learning. Courses and programs arecontinuously reviewed to meet the criteria set forth by the Education Code, the Accrediting Commission forCommunity and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the California CommunityCollege Board of Governors.To ensure that students have the opportunity to take advantage of these enriching educational experiences, MSJC hascreated an environment that promotes student success built on a foundation of equity, diversity and access.
