Iflarge or oddly-shaped items areloaded in the silverware basket, besure they do not nest together.9 WARNINGRISK OF INJURY!The sharp points and edges ofknives and other sharp utensilscan cause serious injury. Loadknives and other sharp utensilswith edges down. Do not allowchildren to handle or play nearknives and sharp utensils.The Double Flex silverware basketThis basket splits along its length,resulting in two halves that may beplaced in a variety of positions in thelower rack 9", greatly increasingthe lower rack’s loading versatility.The basket snaps together eitherside by side or back to back.To split the Double Flex silverwarebasket:Grasp the basket and slide the twohalves in opposite directions andthen pull the two halves apart.Side by side Back to back To assemble the Double Flexsilverware basket:Hold the two halves side by side orback to back, so that the tab on onebasket can slip into the notch on theother basket. Push the two halves inopposite directions until they click.16

en-us Loading the DishwasherExtra tall item sprinklerIf an item is too tall to be placed inthe lower rack 9" even with theupper rack 12 in the raisedposition, remove the empty upperrack 12 by pulling it out of thedishwasher until it stops. Pull thefront of the rack upward and outwarduntil the rack will not slide outanymore. Then lift it up and awayfrom the dishwasher, until the rollersare completely free of the rollerguides (A).Set the upper rack 12 aside andpush the roller guides (A) back intothe dishwasher. Insert the extra tallitem sprinkler (B) into the upper rackspray outlet (C) and turn the sprinklerclockwise to lock into position. &NOTICE %20Note: Keep the vent hole 1J on thetub’s left side clear by placing tallitems such as plastic cutting boardsand tall baking sheets on the lowerrack’s right side or center.To avoid dishwasher damage, do notreinstall the upper rack 12 withoutremoving the extra tall itemsprinkler (B).

Makesure that the stopper hooks ofboth rails slide in between theholding hooks and the lowerrollers of the third rack (2).3. Slide third rack in and lift theupper rollers over the frontstopper hooks of both rails (3).4. Push in third rack (4). Removing third rack 1*1. Pull out third rack all the way (1).2. Lift upper rollers over the stopperhooks of both rails (2).3. Pull third rack out forward andupward so the the holding hooksand the lower rollers of the rackslide over the stopper hooks ofboth rails (3). 21

For bestresults, use fresh powdereddishwashing detergent or detergenttabs.t negre t eDNOTICETo avoid dishwasher damage: Do not use hand dishwashingproducts in your dishwasher. Do not use too much detergent ifyour water is soft. Using too muchdetergent with soft water maycause etching in glassware andfine china.This dishwasher uses less water thanmost, therefore, less detergent isrequired. With soft water,1 tablespoon (15 ml) of detergentwill clean most loads. The detergentdispenser cup has lines that measuredetergent to 1 tablespoon (15 ml)and 1.75 tablespoons (25 ml).3 tablespoons (45 ml) of detergentwill completely fill the detergentdispenser.Note: If you do not know thehardness of your water supply, use15 ml of detergent.
