Chapter 1: IntroductionIntroductionWelcome to the Associate in Radiography Program at Indiana University South Bend. TheRadiography Program is part of the Vera Z. Dwyer College of Health Sciences, School of AppliedHealth Sciences. We are pleased you have chosen to pursue your degree in radiography with us! Thefaculty and staff look forward to working with you and wish you much success in the pursuit of youreducational goals. In an effort to help you successfully achieve your goals we have put together thishandbook of program policies and procedures.These policies and procedures outline what is needed to successfully progress through theRadiography Program. Student radiographers are responsible for all information in this handbookand should become familiar with its contents. The handbook should serve as a reference duringyour time in the program.This handbook has been constructed as a supplement to the Indiana University Code of StudentsRights, Responsibilities and Conduct and serves to bridge the overriding policies of the universitywith the policies of the AS in Radiography program. The policies in this handbook are designed tosupport the success of the student and to serve as a guide and a reference for students enrolled inthe AS in Radiography program.
