Global Apostolic and Prophetic Network Monthly Prayer GuideINFORMATION ABOUT THE MONTH OF OCTOBERThe word October was derived from the Latin “Octo” meaning eight (8). October retained its name from the Latinorigin when July and August, named after Julius and Augustus Caesar respectively, were inserted into the calendarthat had originally been created by the Romans. It is now considered the tenth (10th) month in the now widely usedGregorian calendar. Consequently, it is the gateway into THE LAST QUARTER of the Gregorian calendar.September 19, 2020 was the 1st of Tishrei 5781. This is the tenth (10th) month of the Gregorian calendar. This is thefirst (1st) month of the Jewish civil year. The seven day feast of Sukkot will be celebrated from the evening of October 2 to the evening of October 9, 2020.The Korean Demilitarized ZonePage 1

Global Apostolic and Prophetic Network Monthly Prayer GuideWHAT IS THE NAME OF OUR GOD?According to Wikipedia "Jehovah is the Latinization of the Hebrew הָ ֹוהְ י , one vocalization of the Tetragrammaton )יהוה YHWH), the proper name of the God of Israel in the Hebrew Bible. The consensus among scholars is that the historicalvocalization of the Tetragrammaton at the time of the redaction of the Torah (6th century BCE) is most likely Yahweh. The historical vocalization was lost because in Second Temple Judaism, during the 3rd to 2nd centuries BCE, thepronunciation of the Tetragrammaton came to be avoided, being substituted with Adonai ("my Jehovah"). The Hebrewvowel points of Adonai were added to the Tetragrammaton by the Masoretes, and the resulting form wastransliterated around the 12th century as Yehowah. The derived forms Iehouah and Jehovah first appeared in the 16thcentury."Jehovah" was popularized in the English-speaking world by William Tyndale and other pioneer English Protestanttranslations such as the Geneva Bible and the King James Version. It is still used in some translations, such as the NewWorld Translation and Young's Literal Translation, but it is does not appear in most mainstream English translations,as the terms "Jehovah" or "Jehovah": used instead, generally indicating that the corresponding Hebrew is Yahweh orYHWH.” (From Wikipedia) In the Bishop's Bible (1568), the word Jehovah occurs in Exodus 6:3 and Psalm 83:18.The Authorized King James Version (1611) renders Jehovah in Exodus 6:3, Psalm 83:18, Isaiah 12:2, Isaiah 26:4, andthree times in compound place names at Genesis 22:14, Exodus 17:15 and Judges 6:24. The Leningrad Codex is theoldest complete manuscript of the Hebrew Bible in Hebrew. It is dated 1008 CE.You can download it at www.seforimonline.org/seforimdb/PDF/264.pdf This Hebrew manuscript contains 50occurrences of the full spelling of the name Yehovah. The Aleppo Codex is an ancient vocalized Hebrew manuscript. Itis about 100 years older than the Leningrad Codex but it is not complete. This document contains the name Yehovah. When you look at Ezekiel 28:22 in the Aleppo Codex it says: "Thus says Adonai Yehovah."I encourage you this month to read and study this document for yourself. There a website that will help you. It iswww.aleppocodex.org.The King James Version uses "JEHOVAH" to translate the divine name in most instances. Jesus's Hebrew name"Yehoshua" ( ( יהושע means "Yehovah saves" and is derived from יהוה .This Hebrew name became "Jesus" in Aramaicand "Ἰησοῦς" (Iesous) in Greek.WHAT IS THE MEANING OF YEHOVAH (JEHOVAH)?According to Easton's Bible Dictionary "Jehovah - the special and significant name (not merely an appellative title suchas Jehovah [Adonai]) by which God revealed himself to the ancient Hebrews (Exodus 6:2 Exodus 6:3 ). This name, theTetragrammaton of the Greeks, was held by the later Jews to be so sacred that it was never pronounced except by thehigh priest on the great Day of Atonement, when he entered into the most holy place.Whenever this name occurred in the sacred books they pronounced it, as they still do, "Adonai" (i.e., Jehovah), thususing another word in its stead. The Massorets gave to it the vowel-points appropriate to this word. This Jewishpractice was founded on a false interpretation of Leviticus 24:16 . The meaning of the word appears from Exodus 3:14to be "the unchanging, eternal, self- 3 Page 4 existent God," the "I am that I am," a covenant-keeping God. (CompareMalachi 3:6 ; Hosea 12:5 ; Revelation 1:4 Revelation 1:8 .)Page 2

Global Apostolic and Prophetic Network Monthly Prayer GuideThe Hebrew name "Jehovah" is generally translated in the Authorized Version (and the Revised Version has notdeparted from this rule) by the word JEHOVAH printed in small capitals, to distinguish it from the rendering of theHebrew Adonai and the Greek Kurios , which are also rendered Jehovah, but printed in the usual type. The Hebrewword is translated "Jehovah" only in Exodus 6:3 ; Psalms 83:18 ; Isaiah 12:2 ; 26:4 " Let us look at some examples: 1Kings 18:24 says: Then you call on the name of your Elohim, and I will call on the name Yehovah, and the Elohim whoanswers by fire, He is Elohim. Isaiah 60:19 says: No longer will you have the sun for light by day, nor for brightness willthe moon give you light, but you will have Yehovah for an everlasting light, and your Elohim for your glory. The ancient Israelites used the name as a blessing in daily life. Ruth 2:4 gives us an example. It says: Now behold, Boazcame from Bethlehem and said to the reapers "May Yehovah be with you." And they answered him, "May Yehovahbless you."WHY ARE WE LOOKING AT THE BIBLICAL CALENDAR?Our current Gregorian calendar is a solar calendar (it is based only on the length of a year as determined by the sun). The starting day of the year and the length of months are not based on any physical or Biblical principles but merely ahappenstance of history. The moon is given to mark Feasts—which are usually explained as a certain day of a certain month in the Bible: Heappointed the moon for seasons [Hebrew moed means “festivals”]; the sun knows it’s going down (Psalm104:19,NKJV).Blow the trumpet at the time of the New Moon, at the full moon, on our solemn feast day (Psalm 81:3, NKJV).Genesis 1:14-16 also states that the sun and moon are the two great lights to indicate “festivals, days and years”. Thesun marks the days and years, but Festivals are in certain days of certain months—marked by the moon. The first dayof a month (“new moon”) was observed with a special meal in the Old Testament (1Sam 20:5, 2 Kings 4:23, Amos 8:5).That practice continued in the New Testament Col 2:16.The practice will continue during the new heavens and new earth (Isa 66:23, Ezekiel 46:1,6). New moons were not thesame as the annual Feast days in Leviticus 23—there is no specific command and explanation of how to keep them. But many verses say they were observed. Most references to dates in the Bible are like those of Genesis 7:11: “In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in thesecond month, the seventeenth day of the month.” The day and the month are numbered, but the year is given as ayear of the persons’ life, the year of a king’s life, or the year from some big event.Although months are generally referred to by number, there are two systems of naming them in the Bible. The firstsystem uses Hebrew names, the second uses largely Babylonian names acquired when the Jews were in captivity inBabylon. The four Hebrew names are:Abib the first month (Ex 13:4, 23:15, 34:18, Deut. 16:1) Zif the second month (1Kngs 6:1,37)Ethanium the seventh month (1 Kings 8:2)Bul the eighth month (1Kngs 6:38)Page 3

Global Apostolic and Prophetic Network Monthly Prayer GuideThe original Hebrew names for the other months are apparently unknown. (From Biblical Calendar Basics, Third edition- April 2002).As we seek to understand the times we will look at events that took place in each month as determined by the BiblicalCalendar.WHY DO WE INCLUDE A SECTION ON PRAYING THROUGH THE HEAVENS INOUR GUIDE?Believers are a royal priesthood unto Jehovah (1 Pet 2:9), we have also been made kings and priests unto our Jehovah(Rev 1:6; 5:10). The priest’s lips should keep knowledge and the law should be sought at his mouth (Mal 2:7). Jehovahinterprets our ignorance of various aspects of the kingdom as a rejection of knowledge with grievous consequences(Hos 4:6). Knowledge of the heavens and how to deal with them in every season is a very important aspect of theKingdom of heaven. In Primeval Astronomy, “The Gospel in the Stars,” Joseph Augustus Seiss explains the purpose of the stars and theirconstellations in their original context. In a lecture entitled, “The Starry Worlds,” first published in 1882, he attests:“Such wonderful creations of almighty power and wisdom were not without a purpose.” Seiss explains that stars andgroups of stars, constellations, were created to fill the galaxy – in a particular order for a very specific purpose. Godcreated the stars (Gen. 1:16) and positioned them in their exact places in the universe (Ps. 8:3). Stars were, “for signsand for seasons, and for days and for years, in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth.” (Gen. 1:14,15).Stars were so important that God named them. “He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name.”(Ps. 147:4). The stars are a continual reminder that the Seed of the woman will ultimately triumph over the Serpent(Gen. 3:15). God’s revelation is constantly told in the stars (Ps. 19) — which is a message of salvation — available toevery generation who professes faith. (Romans 9-11, Joel, Isa.) The entire ancient world received the gospel prior toChrist ever being born– through the stars.TEACHING – PRAYING THROUGH THE PATTERN OF THE TABERNACLEHere we are looking at the Exodus Tabernacle as a model for our prayers."Thy way, O Lord is in the sanctuary." (Psalm 77:13)The exodus tabernacle has a number of parts to it that can all be related in some way to how we approach and relateto God. It leads to the most important article in the sanctuary - the mercy seat."And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the twocherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, ." (Exo 25:22)Page 4

Global Apostolic and Prophetic Network Monthly Prayer GuideWhile access to certain areas of the sanctuary was limited to the priests and the holy place to only the high priest oncea year, we will use it as a pattern to approach God and commune with Him. He has made us kings and priests to ourGod. (Revelation 5:10) and yes, the veil of the temple was torn in two. (Matthew 27:51)Here is a diagram of the exodus tabernacle:Let us take a prayer walk through the sanctuary(Please feel free to change the songs as you adapt this model for your use)The Exodus Tabernacle Part 1. The Gate: PraiseAs we begin this journey through the sanctuary, we first enter through the gate on the east side:"Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise." (Psalm 100:4)This is how we are to approach God. He wants us to acknowledge and appreciate His goodness and praise Him for it.As we are impressed with His goodness, we will be encouraged to seek Him and depend on Him more.God says He will give us ". the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness ." (Isa 61:3) and surely, He has given usmany reasons to praise Him. An attitude of gratefulness, thanksgiving and appreciation for what we have is good forour health.SONG – HE HAS MADE ME GLAD (I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart)Praying at the Gate: Thank God for the truth of His Word and for the path to eternal life. Name your blessings oneby-one. God is worthy to be praised regardless of how you feel. Even if you lose everything in this world, you willalways have what is most important: Jesus and His love. Praise differs from worship Praise – Lifting up God on apedestal, vocally adoring Him Worship – Reverence and submission to God. Worship is an altar we place ourselves on.Prepare your heart for repentance.Page 5

Global Apostolic and Prophetic Network Monthly Prayer GuideThe Exodus Tabernacle Part 2. Altar of Burnt Offering: Confess SinsAfter entering through the gates, the first object we would encounter is the altar of burnt offering. It is because theLamb of God was offered for us that we can receive forgiveness of sins. This is where we can confess our sins andapproach God with a clean slate."If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1John1:9)The confession part is where we unload our guilt, we admit our wrongs and our sinful condition. This is an importantpart of the process of healing from our sinful state.Understanding His great love for us encourages us to confess and receive forgiveness. That is what happens at thealtar of burnt offering:"And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me." (John 12:32)We always approach God through His Son who declared Himself to be the way to the Father:"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6)SONG – CREATE IN ME A CLEAN HEART OH GODPrayer at the Brazen Altar: Personal repentance is necessary every time you seek to come into God’s presence. Stayat the altar as long as necessary to insure you have repented fully. Ask forgiveness and claim the sacrifice Jesus madeon Calvary to pay for your sins. Pray the Word (see Psalm 51) Psalm 51:10 – “Create in me a clean heart, O God; andrenew a right spirit within me.”The Exodus Tabernacle Part 3. The Laver: Be Washed of SinsThe laver represents cleansing from sin. It is where we can pray to be conformed to God's will and understand theprocess of sanctification (becoming holy):"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what isthat good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God" (Rom 12:2)God's will for us is that we follow His will and gain the benefits that are built into obedience."I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart." (Psalm 40:8)An understanding of God's word helps us in the change:"Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." (John 17:17)SONG – WHAT CAN WASH AWAY MY SINS NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD OF JESUS.Prayer at the Brazen Laver: Ask the Lord to cleanse you from all your sins and weaknesses through the blood of Jesusand by His Word. Determine in your heart to live a life that is holy and acceptable to God. Claim victory over the worksof the flesh (Galatians 5:19-20).The Exodus Tabernacle Part 4. The Candlestick: Pray for the SpiritOn our walk through the sanctuary, we next enter the holy place where there are three articles of furniture. On ourleft side would be the seven-branched candlestick representing the Spirit of God described as:Page 6

Global Apostolic and Prophetic Network Monthly Prayer Guide"And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord." (Isa 11:2)God is eager to give His Spirit, His presence to be with us at all times:"If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Fathergive the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?" (Luke 11:13)However, He will not impose His presence where it is not desired. In fact, we are told of a condition of receiving HisSpirit:"And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obeyhim." (Acts 5:32)SONG – SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD FALL AFRESH ON MEPrayer at the Golden Lampstand: Thank God for His guidance, light and protection. Ask God to provide guidance, lightand protection to our apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers, and the leadership of the ecclesia. Pray forour missionaries. Pray for the persecuted church. Pray for the Body of Christ worldwide. Pray for our leaders. (I Tim2:1-2) Pray to be a light to this dark world. The Exodus Tabernacle Part 5. The Table of Showbread: Study of God's WordOn the right side of the holy place, opposite the candlestick is the table of showbread with 2 stacks of 6 loaves eachof showbread or the bread of the presence. Each stack had one loaf for each of the first 6 days of the week. On the seventh day, the Sabbath, the loaves wereeaten by the priests in the holy place (Lev 24:9) and replaced with new loaves. Bread, that we need for physicalsustenance is likened to the word of God which is also needed to sustain our spiritual life.We are to partake daily from the word of life:"But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out ofthe mouth of God." (Matt 4:4)As we partake of the word, we are partaking of Jesus Himself (and eternal life):"I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever: and the breadthat I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world." (John 6:51)SONG- ANCIENT WORDSPrayer at the Table of Showbread: Pray for your family, friends; and pray for your enemies. Thank God for His Wordand the strength it provides. Ask the Lord to lead you to specific Scriptures relative to your needs and the needs ofthose to whom you minister. Thank God for the freedom we have to own and distribute Bibles—and to teach othersthe truth of God’s Word. Pray the Word: Psalm 19:7-107The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.9The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.10More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.8Page 7

Global Apostolic and Prophetic Network Monthly Prayer GuideThe Exodus Tabernacle Part 6. The Altar of Incense: Personal PetitionsTo this point, we have started our worship time with prayer (at the gates of the sanctuary), we have confessed oursins (at the altar of burnt offering), we have prayed for cleansing (at the laver), we have prayed for the Spirit of God inour lives (at the candlestick) and we have partaken of His word (at the table of shewbread). Now we are standing atthe altar of incense just before the curtain into the most holy place. This is where we can send our personal petitionsupwards to God. Prayer is likened in scripture to incense which rises heavenward:"Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. (Psa 141:2)Prayer was offered at the time of incense:"And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time of incense." (Luke 1:10)In Revelation there is reference to the golden altar before the throne which would be the altar of incense just beforethe curtain into the most holy place which contained the ark of the covenant over which was the Shekinah glory shoneabove the mercy seat. Prayer prepares us to meet with God, to be in His presence."And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smokeof the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand." (Rev 8:34)SONG – WHAT A BEAUTIFUL NAME IT ISPrayer at the Golden Altar of Incense: Worship God in Spirit and in Truth. Get lost in the Spirit. Intercede with Godon behalf of others first. Then pray for your own needs. Ask God to prepare your heart for even deeper communionwith Him.As the ekklesia, His Bride, we must step in and intercede; we must repent on behalf of our nations.“Has a nation ever changed its gods? (Yet they are not gods at all.) But my people have exchanged theirglorious God for worthless idols My people have committed two sins: They have forsaken me, the spring of livingwater, and have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that cannot hold water.” (Jer 2:11, 13 NIV)LET US PRAY FOR OUR NATIONS.Let us pray for our Jewish brothers and sisters. Pray that our Messiah would reveal Himself to them. Pray for themultitudes to be ushered into the Kingdom as their eyes are opened! PRAY FOR ISRAEL.Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you be secure. May there be peace within your walls and securitywithin your citadels.” For the sake of my family and friends, I will say, “Peace be within you.” For the sake of the houseof the Lord our God, I will seek your prosperity. (Ps 122:6-9 NIV)We are in a time and season like no other. Let us press in and pray for His Glory to be made manifest and cascadeover our nations. Pray that the people would not be hard-hearted as we pray for signs, wonders and miracles pointingto the ONE who is mighty to save!Page 8

Global Apostolic and Prophetic Network Monthly Prayer GuideSONG – I ENTER THE HOLY OF HOLIESThe Exodus Tabernacle Part 7. THE HOLY OF HOLIES The Ark of the Covenant: Forsake Defects in CharacterTHE HOLY OF HOLIES – Only one man (the High Priest) was permitted to enter the Most Holy Place once a year on theDay of Atonement (Yom Kippur). The room called the Holy of Holies represents the Holy Ghost experience. It was theclosest that man could get to God here on earth. The Veil that separated the Holy Place and the Holy of Holiesrepresented the barrier between God and man that existed before the death of Jesus. When Jesus died on the cross, the veil was miraculously torn in two. This miracle made salvation available to “whosoever will.” The torn veilsymbolizes the ability of every believer to approach God through the death of Jesus. The High Priest wore a simple, white linen robe. We, too, must lose our identity when we enter the Holy of Holies to worship and commune withGod.The Ark of the covenant was located in the Holy of Holies. The ark contained the law of God. We are to compare ourlives with the law of God, the eternal standard. Where necessary, with His help, we are to make changes that we mightbe conformed more and more to His character."Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: and see if there be any wicked way in me,and lead me in the way everlasting." (Psa 139:23-24)The first verse of that Psalm implies that God has already searched and known us:"O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me." (Psa 139:1)SONG – SEARCH ME O GOD AND KNOW MY HEART I PRAYThe purpose of our time at the Ark of the Covenant is for us to examine ourselves in the light of God's standard for us.It is also for us to be in His presence, dwelling upon His character. That is what will give us the motivation to want tokeep His law. Having spent time in the presence of God, we are then ready to go forth to meet our day and itschallenges."Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." (Isa 26:3)We should do everything as though we are in the presence of God because, of course, He sees and knows everythingwe do.Prayer in the Holy of Holies: Thank God for His death on the cross— and for “the new and living way He has preparedfor us through the veil, that is to say, His flesh.” (Hebrews 10:22). Thank God that salvation is extended to all, and thatanyone can enter into God’s presence and commune with Him. Thank God for the “better way” in the New Covenant.Thank God for His beautiful presence.Page 9

Global Apostolic and Prophetic Network Monthly Prayer GuideEXCERPT FROM THE BOOK, PRAYING THROUGH THE GATES OF TIME BY DR.ABU BAKOCHAPTER TWOTYPES AND CATEGORIES OF GATESTYPES OF GATESGates, as already stated, are ports of access for the purpose of entry and exit. They can either be Visible or Invisible. The most important gate in your house might not be your door, or your physical gate; it might be something else thathad been there before your house was built, e.g. a covenant, an altar, etc. Sometimes, the most important gates mighteven be invisible and it is only God that can reveal them to you.We can classify Gates by location, or the realm in which they occur, the realm of occurrence can be physical, spiritualand relate to the soul. Gates of the soul relate to the mind, will, emotions and the heart.Gates of the HeavensJacob had a dream in which he dreamed that he saw angels ascending and descending on a ladder from heaven. Whenhe woke up he declared that indeed he was at the gate of heaven. He was sleeping in the site of an ancient altar hisforefather Abraham had erected in that location in Bethel. The gates of the heavens include the highest heaven, second heaven or the abode of angels, angels themselves, theheavenly hosts, the sun, the moon, the stars, and other aspects of other portions of the universe such as:constellations, planets, bodies of water above the firmament, including the Four Winds (Zechariah 2:6; Ezekiel 2:11),etc.Genesis 7: 11,12 talks about the floodgates of the heavens, which were opened (See also Genesis 8: 2, Malachi 3: 811). According to Job 38, you have the gates of light and the gates of darkness in heaven. In the case of Isaiah 24:1723, it talks about the fact that God will punish the powers in the heavens above and the kings of the earth below.Ezekiel 1:1-7 also talks about open heavens. It means that the heavens can be closed also. When the heavens areopen, favor and blessings flow. When gates of heaven are closed then it means that disfavor and disconnection fromthe power of God is experienced on earth. See also Hosea 2:20-23.Everything that we see in the physical realm first happens and is controlled from, the realm of the spirit by opening orclosing the gates there. How do I know that? To begin with, to control anything, anywhere, you must do it from itsroots, from its foundation. To control a tree, you must control it from its roots. You want to solve the problem ofcobwebs? Deal with the spider that spins them. You want to control a car, control it from the one who started it. Ifyou want to control a car, you need to go to the manufacturer and he will teach you how best to do so, because heknows everything he has put in there. In the same way, even for remote controlled cars, it is the one who started whocan stop it. I want you to know that everything is controlled from the realm of the spirit.P a g e 10
