1.6.71.71.7.11.7.21.7.31.7.41.7.5Over 50s ChampionshipThere will be a championship within the main championship for all drivers who are aged 50 or over on the 1 stJanuary of the season. The points allocation will mirror that of the main championship, with the top 15 driversreceiving points with 25 points for a win, then 20, 16, 14, 12, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 for 15th place. Thetotals from all qualifying rounds less four will determine final championship points and positions.Awards:All awards are to be provided by the race organisers.Per Event: The awards will be as per the race organising Club’s regulations - normally a trophy to the overallwinner and trophies to second and third. In addition, there will be a trophy for the highest placed novice and highestplaced lady driver in each round. If a driver in their novice season achieves 3rd place or better then they will forfeitthe right to further novice trophies, including the end of season (Championship) novice trophy. In the over 50sChampionship there will be a trophy to the overall winner and trophies to second and third.Championship: Championship winner 2nd overall – 6th will each receive a trophy. There will also be an award forthe best novice driver, (ie a competitor with no previous Race or Kart experience) and for the best lady driver. Toqualify for an award a competitor must have competed in at least 4 rounds.Presentations: Winners trophies are to be provided for presentation at the end of each race or at the end of themeeting presentation ceremony. Class trophies will be available from the paddock office one hour after the officialresults have been published.Entertainment Tax Liability:Prize Money and Bonuses not applicable.In accordance with current government legislation, the HSCC is legally obliged to withhold tax at the basic rate onall payments to non-UK resident sportsmen/women and account to HMRC using form FEU1, the quarterly returnof payments made to non-resident entertainers and sportsmen/women.That is those persons who do not have a normal permanent residence in the UK. The UK does not include theIsle of Man, Channel Isles or Eire. This means that, as the organiser, the HSCC is required to deduct tax at thecurrent rate applicable from any such payments they may make to non-UK residents.Under certain circumstances, it may be possible for competitors to enter into an agreement with the InlandRevenue to limit tax withheld. Tel: 0151 472 6488 Fax: 0151 472 6483Title to all trophies: In the event of any Provisional Results or Championship Tables being revised after anyprovisional presentations and such revisions affect the distribution of any awards, the Competitors concernedmust return such awards to the HSCC in good condition within 7 days.2.CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT MEETINGS & RACE PROCEDURESAll competitors are reminded that they are racing Historic Cars, very close to an original specification which by their natureare expensive and difficult to repair. They are a part of our sporting heritage. Parts often have to be manufactured as theyare not available ‘off the shelf’. The Championship organiser therefore reserves the right to disallow any developmentsthey feel not to be in keeping with the spirit of the Championship, or any action by competitors which would result in anincrease in costs for the category. These cars require respect as do your fellow competitors. You will be expected to racewithin those parameters. If you are involved in an incident you will be required to report your actions to the Clerk of theCourse if called.2.1Entries:2.1.1 Competitors are responsible for sending in correct and complete entries with the correct entry fee prior to theclosing date for entries before each event.2.1.2 Incorrect or incomplete entries (including Driver to be Nominated Entries) are to be held in abeyance until they arecomplete and correct and the date of receipt for acceptance of entry purposes shall be the date on which theSecretary of the Meeting receives the missing or corrected information or fee.2.1.3 Any withdrawal of Entry or Driver/Car changes made after acceptance of any entry must be notified to the MeetingOrganisers in writing D25.1.12 applies.2.1.4 The Entry Fee for each event shall be specified in the SRs and on the entry form.2.1.5 Reserves will be listed in the Final List of Entries published with Final Instructions or in a Bulletin.2.1.6 Reserves will be prioritised according to the date that their entry was received.2.2Briefings:Organisers should notify Competitors of the times and locations for all briefings in the Final Instructions for themeetings. .5.22.5.32.5.42.5.52.5.62.6.12.72.7.1Qualification Practice:Should any Practice Session be disrupted, the Clerk of the Course shall not be obliged to resume the session orre-run sessions to achieve the championship criteria and the decision of the Clerk of the Course shall be final.Each driver shall complete a minimum of 3 laps in the car to be raced, and in the correct session, in order to qualify(Motorsport UK Regulations Q12.4).Where possible, drivers will be released in on to the circuit in current championship position. Drivers not in thechampionship table will be released in race number order after those in the table or at discretion of the Chairmanor Driver’s representative. At the start of the season the Championship positions from the end of the previousseason will be used.Where the number of entries requires cars to be split across two practice sessions (A & B), the fastest overall laptime from both practice sessions takes pole position. The remaining grid is determined by alternately allocatingdrivers from each practice session according to their finishing position in the practice session and not their fastestlap time.At the end of a qualifying session ALL cars must go to Parc Fermé, no cars are permitted to stop in the pit lane forany reason unless permitted to do so by the eligibility scrutineer. Any car that enters the pit lane during qualifyingwith the intention not to continue must go straight to Parc Fermé without stopping. Any car seen to stop withoutpermission will be reported to the Clerk of the Course. Any car not presented in Parc Fermé will be reported to theClerk of the Course for consideration under C3.2 in the Motorsport UK Yearbook.In the event of a Red Flag work on cars already in the pits must cease, cars are deemed to be under Parc Ferméconditions until released by the eligibility scrutineer under direction from the Clerk of the Course. Work on cars forsafety reasons may be carried out under the supervision of a scrutineer only when permitted to do so.No personnel other than the driver must enter Parc Fermé unless authorised by the Championship Scrutineer orthe nominated scrutineer in charge of Parc Fermé.Races:Should any race be disrupted the Clerk of the Course shall not be obliged to resume or rerun the race Q5.4. (1.6.4.above applies)Starts:All cars will be released to form up on the grid prior to the start in formation as specified on the grid sheet.The start will be via a Standing startThe minimum Countdown procedures/audible warning sequence shall be:I.1 minute to start of Green Flag/Pace Lap – Start Engines/Clear GridII. 30 Seconds – Visible and audible warning for start of Green Flag/Pace Lap.III. A five second board will be used to indicate that the grid is complete.IV. The red lights will be switched on five seconds after the board is withdrawn.Any cars removed from the grid after the one minute stage or driven into pits on Green Flag Lap shall be held inthe pit lane and may start the race after the last car has passed the startline or pit lane exit, whichever is the later.Any drivers unable to start the Green Flag/Pace Lap or start are required to indicate their situation as perMotorsport UK Regulation Q 12.11.2. In addition, any driver unable to maintain grid positions on Green Flag Lap,to the extent that ALL other cars are ahead of them, may complete the green flag lap but MUST remain at therear of the last row of the grid but ahead of any cars to be started with a time delay.In the event of any starting lights failure the Starter will revert to use of the National Flag.Should circumstances at the event change such as, but not restricted to, Track Conditions or Weather, the Clerkof the Course may change Standing Starts to Rolling Starts. When this decision is made all affected competitorswill be notified at the earliest opportunity along with being advised of the number of Pace laps.SESSION RED FLAGShould the need arise to stop any race or practice, RED LIGHTS will be switched on at the Startline and REDFLAGS will be displayed at the startline and at all marshals’ signalling points around the circuit.This is the signal for all drivers to cease circulating at racing speeds, to slow to a safe and reasonable pace andto return to the pit lane, during practice, and to the starting grid area, during a race, unless otherwise directed byofficialsCars may not enter the pits unless directed to do so. Work on cars already in the pits must cease when a race isstopped. Cars are deemed to be under Parc Fermé conditions until released by the eligibility scrutineer underdirection from the Clerk of the Course. Work on cars for safety reasons may be carried out under the supervisionof a scrutineer only when permitted to do so.Pits, Paddock & Pit Lane Safety:Pits & Paddock: Competitors must ensure that the Motorsport UK, Circuit Management and Organising ClubSafety regulations are complied with at all times.Published Regulations December 2020Page 4 of 8

2.7.22.7.32.7.42.82.92.102.112.122.133.Pit Lane: The outer lane or lanes are to be kept unobstructed to allow safe passage of cars, the onus shall be onall drivers to take all due care and respect the pit lane speed limits.Refuelling: May only be carried out in accordance with the Motorsport UK Q13 Regulations, Circuit ManagementRegulations and the Supplementary Regulations or Final Instructions issued for each Circuit/Meeting.Speed Limit: Pit Lane Speed Limit will be 60 Km/h (37.2Mph)Race Finishes:Cars may either cross the Finishing Line or take the chequered flag in the pit lane in the interests of safety, orwhere a back marker has been overtaken on the winner’s slowing down lap and subsequently flagged off bymarshals. At circuits where such use of the pit lane represents an advantage, in terms of circuit length or speed,an appropriate time penalty will be added to the driver’s race time.After taking the Chequered Flag drivers are required to:I.progressively and safely slow down,II.remain behind any competitors ahead of them,III.return to the Pit Lane Entrance/Paddock Entrance as instructed,IV.comply with any directions given by Marshals or OfficialsV.keep helmets on and harnesses done up while on the circuits or in the pit lane.Results:All Practice Timesheets, Grids, Race Results are to be deemed PROVISIONAL until all vehicles are released byScrutineers after Post Practice/Race Scrutineering and/or after completion of any Judicial or TechnicalProcedures (Motorsport UK regulation D26.3).Timing Modules:All cars must be fitted with a working HSCC approved transponder. Failure may result in competitors not beingaccredited with a qualifying time or excluded from the result as per Motorsport UK Q12.8.1Qualification Races: If any event is oversubscribed the Organising Club may at their discretion run QualificationRaces.Operation of Safety Car: The safety car will be brought into operation and run in accordance with Section Q,Appendix 3 of the Motorsport UK General Regulations.Onboard CamerasThe use of onboard cameras is strongly encouraged, and they must be fitted in accordance with Motorsport UKregulation J5.21. At the end of Qualifying and Racing the Clerk of the Course may request to review, the footagefrom any cameras. The Clerk of the Course may then deal with any incident(s) arising from such review. Driversmay be required to fit front and rear-facing cameras to their cars on direction of the Championship Co-ordinatoror event officials at any time. Penalty of non-operation of same in qualifying would result in times beingdisallowed, and in the Race Exclusion from the results.SPECIFIC CHAMPIONSHIP REGULATIONSNil4.SPECIFIC CHAMPIONSHIP PENALTIES:4.1In accordance with Section C of the current Yearbook.Infringements of Technical Regulations:4.1.14.1.24.2Arising from post practice Scrutineering or Judicial Action: Minimum penalty: The provisions of Motorsport UKregulations: (C3.3.).Arising from post race Scrutineering or judicial action: Minimum penalty: The provisions of Motorsport UKregulations: C3.5.1(a) &( b). For infringements deemed to be of a more serious nature the Clerk of the Coursewill invoke the provisions of Regulation C3.5.1(c).Additional specific championship penalties as set out in the Supplementary Regulations:4.2.1The Clerk of the Course (s) have the right to impose a Stop Go or Drive Through penalty, in accordance withMotorsport UK Regulation Q12.264.2.2The Clerk of the Course or the Stewards of the Meeting where a unfair advantage (whether inadvertently or not)may impose a Time Penalty in accordance with Motorsport UK Regulation C2.3 (Judicial)4.2.3Any Competitor failing to comply with either the letter or the Spirit of the Championship can be reportedto the Clerk of the Course by the Eligibility Scrutineer, Registrar or Championship Stewards for furtheraction.Published Regulations December 2020Page 5 of 8

4.34.4Any competitor who is penalised under the Motorsport UK Sporting Regulations at any stage of an event may atthe Clerk of the Course Instruction incur the following Championship penalty: The event will be counted as one of the events contributing to their Championship score and they will beexcluded from the event. Additionally, the competitor will forfeit a total of points equal to those obtained for aclass win even if this results in a minus total of points.Any Competitor who is penalised under the Championship Sporting Regulations at any stage of a Championshipevent and receives an allocation of penalty points on their race licence in accordance with Motorsport UKRegulations, will receive a Championship points deduction equal to the number of penalty points which wereallocated. Should the same competitor receive penalty points at another round of the Championship then thenumber of Championship points deducted will be double the number of penalty points applied. If penalty pointsare applied at a third round, then the Championship points deducted will be triple this number, and quadrupled atthe fourth occurrence of such a penalty etc. This may result in a driver receiving a negative score.5.TECHNICAL REGULATIONS:5.1INTRODUCTION:The following technical regulations are set out in accordance with the Motorsport UK specified format and itshould be clearly understood that if the following texts do not clearly specify that you can do it, you should workon the principle that you cannot.GENERAL DESCRIPTION:The HSCC Historic Formula Ford Championship is open to Formula Ford 1600 cars originally built and raced asFormula Ford 1600 cars prior to 31/12/71.
