SECTION 1: CHAMPIO NSHIP LOGO USAGE CHAM PIO N S H I P LOG O CLE ARS PACE AR E A S THE 'N' GUIDE EACH CHAMPIONSHIP LOGO FORMAT HAS A CLEARSPACE AREA AROUND IT IN WHICH NO OTHER GRAPHIC ELEMENT SHOULD ENCROACH. For each Championship logo format, the clearspace area is defined by the height of either ‘N’ within the Guinness Championship logo. SIX NAT IONS OFFICIAL CHAMPIONSHIP LOGO AND BRAND GUIDELINES 8

SECTION 1: CHAMPIO NSHIP LOGO USAGE CHAM PIO N S H I P LOG O O N BACKG RO U N DS HOLDING SHAPE KEYLINE USAGE THE CHAMPIONSHIP LOGO ALWAYS INCLUDES THE BLACK HOLDING SHAPE AND WHITE KEYLINE. BUT, THERE ARE OCCASIONS WHEN THE WHITE KEYLINE CAN BE REMOVED. Shown here are some examples of when and when not to remove the holding shape and keyline. If the shape of the application is the same as that of the holding shape it can be removed for visual clarity. OFFICIAL CHAMPIONSHIP LOGO AND BRAND GUIDELINES When the white key line would be a distration it can be removed for visual clarity. When the holding shape and keyline would clash with the shape of the application (in this case a rugby ball) it can be removed. On photographic and non-black coloured backgrounds, the holding shape and keyline should not be removed. 9

COLOUR spot/flat colour SIX NATIONS This is a simplified version of the full colour Championship logo, but for use with printing processes that don’t allow for the printing of gradients. Portrait Colour reverse logo (spot/flat colours) SIX NATIONS Portrait Mono logo (gradient) Use this version when colour printing is not available, but black and white halftone printing is e.g. news print.
