Black/Opal Mountains Field Trip Presentation May 12. 2013by Jay ValleOpal mountain is about 125 miles from Whittier. All roads beyond Hinkley are dirt roads . Some roadsrequire 4-wheel drive vehicles.Around 1914-15, mines in the Scout’s Cove areaproduced precious opal, as well as some beautifulcherry and orange common opal. However, the bestseams were about 200 feet below the surface andwere locked in extremely hard rock. Ultimately theexpense of extracting the opal became too much andthe mine closed down.Recently the BLM bulldozed all vestiges of themine itself. The good news is that the area is crawlingwith common opal. In many cases you can simplypick up chips from earlier rockhounds. The bestspecimens are gotten by extracting them from theseams with chisels and hammers.Materials to collect.Common opal – honey, green, orange, red, yellow, and white.Red and yellow jasper, Chalcedony, Jasper,Thomsonite nodules, agate, andSoap bubble agateIndian PetroglyphsPetroglyphs are located in Inscription Canyon,Murphy Wells, and along Black Canyon road.BLM campgroundRainbow Basin – Owl Canyon8American Opal Co. Once the design of the basic NOC architecture became established, new techniques evolved to address advanced issues such as dynamic load balancing on to a node of the NOC architecture, the shortest/fastest path for the data flow through NOC, and energy efficient NOC architecture design. Most researchers have focused on the

complex system chip design, especially for NoC-based SoC, which has been increasingly applied to complex system design. This paper proposes a collaborative verification and testing platform for NoC-based SoC. Based on VMM verification methodology, a hierarchical NoC validation platform is constructed and assigned to the function verification of NoC
