PrestoNikita Koshkin b. 1956BIOAndrew Stroud began studying the classical guitarwith his father while living in Corsham, England.By the time he left the U.K. for the United States atthe age of 10, Stroud had already given his firstpublic recitals (in Corsham and Swindon) and hadpassed his Royal Conservatory exams with honors.assistantships. He has performed in the masterclasses of Oscar Ghiglia, the Assad Duo, PaulGalbraith, Roland Dyens, Eduardo Fernandez, PacoPena, Lorenzo Micheli, Matteo Mela, the LosAngeles Guitar Quartet and many other worldrenowned musicians.His teachers have included composer ThomasCoffey, renowned performer Stephen Robinson,French virtuoso Judicael Perroy, and BruceHolzman. He holds a Bachelor of Music degreefrom Stetson University. He completed bothMaster of Music degree and Doctor of Musicdegrees at Florida State University. At FSU, Stroudwas awarded three consecutive graduate teachingAndrew has won accolades at many internationalcompetitions including the Columbus State GuitarSymposium, Guitare Lachine Competition(Montreal), Rosario Competition (Columbia, SC),Schadt String Competition (Allentown, PA), the Dr.Luis Sigall Competition (Vina del Mar, Chile), GuitarFoundation of America Competition, and theChristopher Parkening Competition (Malibu, CA).

As a soloist, Andrew has enjoyed performing in awide array of venues. Among them are the FestivalMediterreano della Chitarra in Italy, featured soloperformances in West Palm Beach’s Gala Concertand a performance at the Veteran World FencingChampionships Gala. As a Chamber Musician, hehas performed in diverse roles ranging fromorchestral music to opera. He has been featuredon local and national broadcasts on television andNPR. In 2009, Andrew made his South Americandebut, giving master classes and concerts in Chile.In 2007, Andrew and fellow guitarist Adam Larisonformed Duo 220. The duo has performed in venuesacross the U.S. and U.K. They have been coachedby Grammy Award winning composer SergioAssad. Duo 220 is committed to creatinginnovative programs, performing works rangingfrom Baroque to contemporary, highlighting musicthat falls outside of the mainstream repertoire.Among his other endeavors have been lectures,master classes and teaching. Stroud has been afaculty member of Stetson University’s CommunitySchool for the Arts, Tallahassee CommunityCollege, Chipola College, Thomas University, andGulf Coast State College. He has published andrecorded for the Hands on Teaching method, andhas authored articles published in Soundboardmagazine. He currently serves on the faculty ofWallace Community College as head ofinstrumental studies. He also co-directs the SevenHills Guitar Series. Lambert Academic Publishingrecently published his book, J.K.
