2 IntroductionOperation 3Introduction2.This document contains instructions for attachingthe 2.4 GHz Wireless Programmer to your laptop ordesktop computer via a USB connection.Note: It is strongly recommended to use theProgrammer as it is assembled (dongle plusdocking station). Attaching the dongle directlyinto a computer is not recommended.DescriptionThe Programmer functions as the interface betweenwireless hearing aids and computer fitting software.The Programmer consists of two components:a Docking Station and a Dongle.Insert the USB cable end of the docking stationinto an available USB port on your computer.3.The Programmer is designed to be “plug andplay” and does not require a CD or a restartof the computer. Device drivers will installautomatically.OperationDongleTo use the Programmer:DockingStationInstallation1.Confirm that Inspire X 2014.2 or higher isinstalled. The Programmer is not supported onearlier versions of Inspire X fitting software.1.Verify the Programmer is connected to yourcomputer2.Launch Inspire X 2014.2 or higher3.Search for the Programmer, if needed, byfollowing the steps below: Select Tools Select Programmers Click Search Select the Programmer to program hearing aids

Rough handling Large amounts of dustThe Programmer is designed to be cleaned with adamp cloth moistened with soapy water.Power Supply Operating Voltage: 5.0 vDC supplied from theUSB port of an EN 60950 (ISO 950) approvedcomputer.Important Safety and Usage InformationStorage and Shipping Conditions:Warnings Do not use paint thinner, benzene, cosmetics orother volatile agents to clean the exterior of theProgrammer. Do not spill liquid on the Programmer. Temperature: -40 to 85 C, -40 to 185 F Do not place heavy objects on top of theProgrammer. Humidity: 30 – 90%, non-condensing Do not insert foreign objects into the connections.Operating Conditions: Temperature: -40 to 85 C, -40 to 185 F Humidity: 30 – 90%, non-condensing Do not open or modify the Programmer.
