December 31, 2020I am pleased to provide this summary report on the activities of the Assembly Committee onUtilities and Energy. This report contains summaries of the measures referred to, acted upon,or within the jurisdiction of the committee during the 2019-2020 legislative session.California has faced enormous challenges this session, as a consequence of the COVID-19pandemic and the resultant severe economic downturn. The utility sector has not been isolatedfrom these challenges, and has adapted in order to continue to provide vital service.
