The ‘Me’ ApproachWhy choose the “Me” Approach?o Customer is independent when it comes to technologyo Customer doesn’t want people “touching” his datao Customer has faster internet than the John DeereDealerBeginning the ProcessGo to ‘START’1) Ensure you as thecustomer have created aMyJohnDeere accountand have accepted theDeere Data Usageagreement.2) Expand ‘All programs’3) Expand ‘Greenstar’4) Expand ‘Apex’5) Open‘BackupAndRestore’6 Apex to MyJohnDeere User Guide

The ‘John Deere Dealer’ Approach (cont.) Required backup depends on the following items:1) Internet Upload Speed2) Amount of Data3) Influx of Data to MyJohnDeere ServersNotes:Internet Upload Speed is probably the biggest factor inthe process.Influx of Data means that there is only so much space onthe servers, so if there are a lot of backups coming in, itcould take longer. This should take a shorter amount of time compared tothe ‘Me” approach, because only the backup file is beingcreated at this point.
