A Note From the PresidentKlaas KosterDear Fellow GSH Members,Each year the GSH President is tasked with the selectionof candidates for the election to the GSH Board ofDirectors. This process started in December, workingwith the Nominations Committee to identify appropriateindividuals with the skills and interest to serve theGSH in achieving our strategic goals while maintaininga business focus. It is my pleasure to introduce thecandidates for the 2020-2021 term. Each candidateoffers a unique set of backgrounds, experiences andskills. Take a few minutes to read their biographies.Watch for announcements about the upcoming election. We generally nominate two candidates for each position, with the exception of Editor, but this year, one of ourcandidates for Secretary had to withdraw at the lastmoment. That position will thus run unopposed thisyear. Please note that our bylaws allow GSH activemembers to submit write-in candidates for any office.Check the bylaws for specific guidelines.Craig J. tal)GSH Candidate forPresident-Elect(Z-Terra Inc.)GSH Candidate for2020-2021President-Elect2020-2021Klaas Koster is the WorldwideChief Geophysicist at Occidental. In this role, he oversees theentire international geophysicalfunction and directs Oxy’steam of geophysical experts inacquisition, processing, andquantitative interpretation.Klaas brings three decadesof technical and managerialexperience to his current role. Before joining Occidental inAlexander Mihai Popovici is CEOand Chairman at Z-Terra Inc.
